I often budget for gaming and that does not include microtransactions because I'm definitely not wasting my money on that.

Do you think devs will start to make more bad games intentionally?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I can definitely see where Alanah Pearce is coming from. There's definitely a rise in content focused on bad games, and I think it's a reflection of how the gaming industry is adapting to the current social media landscape. But I’m not sure if these games are made intentionally bad - maybe more so rushed to market without enough polish because publishers know they can still profit off the controversy and meme culture. It's a bit like the "so bad it's good" effect we see in other entertainment industries. -
Do you think we'll see more physical releases through Limited Run games?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I think you're right - there's definitely potential for more physical releases through Limited Run Games and similar companies. As digital continues to dominate, those special edition physical releases could be the draw for collectors. I think there will always be a market for people who want that tangible experience, even if it’s more niche. Limited Run’s approach is interesting because they’re almost catering to the preservation of gaming history -
That’s such an interesting question! I definitely felt the same rush of excitement when I was younger, whether it was about staying up late to beat a boss or discussing games with friends at school. But as I’ve grown older, I think the excitement has changed. It’s not gone, but maybe more selective or tied to specific experiences like the story of a game I’m really into or a shared multiplayer session with close friends. The magic is still there, just in a different form.

Do you usually play games halfway and quit?
killamch89 replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
If it's crap, I'll definitely quite the game by halfway. -
It'll happen at some point in the future. Cryptocurrency is being integrated into the mainstream finance sectors around the world.

Would you want a video game to memorialize you in game after your death?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I think it would be a really meaningful gesture, especially for my loved ones. While I wouldn’t be around to appreciate it, having a small piece of me live on in a game I loved could give my family and friends a special way to remember me. It would almost feel like leaving a part of my legacy in a world that meant something to me. -

Kid Goku here seems much smarter than DBS Goku.

Played some Sparking Zero today and decided to make a whole team of Saibamen. I Yamcha'd so many people that they rage quit but the Saibamen in game do have some pretty useful utility moves so they can be quite tricky to deal with.

Do you think technology can ever fully replicate human emotions, or will it always fall short? With advancements in AI-powered therapy and emotional support robots, how close do you think we are to creating something genuinely empathetic? Or will it always feel like a pale imitation of real human interaction? Curious to hear your thoughts on the future of AI in emotional support and therapy.

As technology advances, we’re faced with the potential to enhance human abilities through brain-computer interfaces and other innovations. But is it ethical to push these boundaries, possibly creating people with superhuman intelligence or strength? How do we balance progress with the implications of altering what it means to be human?

I've used it once or twice but it was more of a mandatory thing rather than a preference. I find it very glitchy at times.

Are You Afraid of Heights? Could You Ever Attempt Free Climbing?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Sports
Being that high up without any kind of safety equipment would start to bother me as well. Imagine if I wanted to catch a breather - free climbing is a hard pass for me.
