With water scarcity becoming an increasingly urgent global issue, how can green technologies help mitigate this challenge? From water-efficient irrigation systems to desalination powered by renewable energy, what are the most promising innovations? Are there any breakthroughs that have shown significant impact, and how can we scale these solutions worldwide to ensure clean water for all?

As AI technology continues to evolve rapidly, there’s growing debate about whether we need a global framework for AI ethics. Would a universal standard ensure fair and responsible use of AI worldwide, or could it limit innovation and adaptability to local cultures and values? What should the key principles of such a standard be?

Are there any English words that just crack you up, no matter how often you hear them? Whether it’s the sound, the meaning, or just the way they look written out, I’m curious to hear your favorites. Personally, I can’t stop laughing at the word "flibbertigibbet." Like, who the hell came up with this word?

I’ve always wondered where people fall when it comes to managing money. Do you find yourself saving for the future, always cautious with your spending, or do you lean toward spending now to enjoy life as it comes? How do you balance the two, or do you just go all-in on one side? Do you regret any major spending or saving decisions?

Has anyone here ever experienced what felt like a telepathic connection with someone - knowing what they’re thinking or feeling without them saying a word? Maybe it's with a close friend, partner, or even a stranger. I’d love to hear about any times where you felt in sync with someone on such a deep level that it seemed like you were communicating without speaking. Do you believe in telepathy, or do you think it’s just intuition or a strong emotional bond?

The scariest enemies, npcs and characters in video games
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I agree - the nemesis monster especially with the way it just smashes through walls and is basically a juggernaut is scary as hell. -
Steam Gaming recording available for all users.
killamch89 replied to Knight Barida's topic in Gaming News
I'm going to have to agree with @Shagger here. It's nice that they have but it's been available for years from different sources. -
If it's a human, I think it's my mother or my big brother.

Creating a Sega Hall of Fame: Who or What Deserves to be Included?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Platforms
I'd definitely start with Sonic, as he’s the face of Sega, but I'd also make room for characters like Alex Kidd and series like Virtua Fighter. These games defined Sega’s brand and helped push the arcade industry forward. Plus, including underappreciated gems like Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Nightmare Into Dreams, Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia would be a nice nod to the cult classics that kept Sega’s legacy alive among dedicated fans. -
Looks like a very interesting game. I love adventure games that heavily story-driven like this one.

Witcher 3 is a good example. Gets occasional DLCs and is still very well. Rockstar more than have the capability - it's just that they're making way more money off GTA online.

Oh, I totally get what you’re saying. Beavis & Butthead is a perfect example of that. Another one that immediately comes to mind for me is Aladdin. The SNES and Sega Genesis versions were released around the same time, but the two games had almost nothing in common! SNES had a smoother platforming focus, while the Sega version let you use a sword.

Interesting pick! SMB2’s unique backstory definitely made it feel distinct visually and gameplay-wise from the original. I’d also throw in Final Fantasy VII to VIII - it felt like a whole new level of graphics in that series at the time.

What’s the most difficult sports position to play?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Sports
I’d also say being a hockey goalie as well. The position demands quick reflexes, intense focus, and the ability to read the game at lightning speed. Plus, you’re constantly taking shots from pucks that can reach over 100 mph! -
Which sport do you think is the hardest to learn?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Sports
There are a few sports that stand out to me, like gymnastics. This involves complex techniques that require strength, flexibility, and hours of practice to get right. Plus, learning to control your body so precisely in a high-stakes environment sounds incredibly difficult. -
Red Dead Redemption 2 sales rises to 67 million
killamch89 replied to Knight Barida's topic in Gaming News
That's very good to be honest but I wish Rockstar would make some DLCs for RDR2. It's a brilliant game and had it gotten half the support that GTA Online gets from Rockstar, It'd be doing even better than that. -
True - the 2000s did have a great amount of shows such as Toonami and Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. Also shows like King of the Hill, Futurama and Family guy.

What’s the Most Suspenseful Movie Scene You’ve Ever Seen?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Movies & TV
I’d say the raptor kitchen scene in Jurassic Park. Watching the kids try to stay quiet while the raptors hunt them down was absolutely terrifying, and the way Spielberg uses silence and shadows ramps up the suspense so much. -
Scorpion and Sub-Zero is a good call. I can't believe I left that one out.
