things you regretted doing as a kid when gaming
killamch89 replied to Patrik's topic in Gaming Forum
I still skip cutscenes in certain games especially when they drag on for ages - my biggest regret while gaming as a kid is the amount of useless accessories I used to buy for my consoles. For instance, I had...the power glove - I still didn't understand why I even bought that piece of trash in the first place lol. -
When I first got into RPGs as a kid, the turn-based battle system used to annoy me to no end but as I grew older, I eventually grew to appreciate it. As a kid, I didn't have much patience with anything but it taught me a bit of patience.

Violent video games can help with PTSD nightmares.

This is such a bizarre and ironic one - while your disassociation theory does sound plausible but this study seems to still lack a lot of substantial evidence that it actually works. As we know, a new study can also come out tomorrow disproving this new finding so I'll just wait for more evidence before I can conclude that it can actually help. -

One of the newest additions to my collection

I was just about to ask what were you collecting those lighters for but it makes sense. Do you have a cabinet for them or you just have them display on a shelf? -
Who knows? There's no telling what these companies will do.

Red Magic 6/6 Pro Review - gaming performance on a budget
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Mobile
It's not that most people can't afford them, it's just that gaming phones tend to receive updates for up to two years and then they're abandon which isn't worth the money spent on the device. Additionally, they tend to be very poor in terms of their basic function. -
Well Apple owns everything they use so they can better micro-manage their own ecosystem. Sony on the other hand, uses Android, has to depend on Qualcomm for chips among other things so they can't follow in Apple's footsteps.
-
Well, that's the current style of folding phones in the industry. On another note, it's built with much stronger materials this time round so it'll be far more durable than previous iterations.
-
I'm too pre-occupied with building my gaming PC to focus on a console plus I've been burnt badly during the pre-order process so I'll just have to wait like everyone else. The components that make up PS5s and other electronics are in very short supply. This is pretty noticeable in most industries so you can't really blame Sony. The Xbox Series X/S is facing a similar issue and don't even get me started on GPUs!

Lenovo Legion 7 Review - another one joins the Ryzen family.
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in PC
They claim that it has improved significantly this year to about the 80-90 mark but that'd just put it where regular gaming laptops throttle which still doesn't make it standout from its rivals. -
If I'm honest, I'd much rather go for the Scar due to the fact that the Legion series gaming laptops typically have heating/throttling issues. Actually the RGB light was there on last year's model but it was on the bottom. This year, it's been moved up a bit to the middle portion of the main chassis.
-
Actually, if you use Microsoft compatibility with it, then you get older games to work. That's how I play the original AOE 2 on my gaming laptop.
-
I haven't really checked out the amount of people buying one but I suspect the number can't be that great because the price is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, 1500 -2000 for fully specced surface laptop 4?
-
Well, you can always get a new mouse without RGB but then you're going to tell us that you can't see anything without the RGB XD.

Lenovo Legion 7 Review - another one joins the Ryzen family.

Okay let me explain - Almost every gaming laptop has a temperature at which the CPU throttles. However, the Legion series is known to throttle at around 50-60 degrees which is way lower than even the standard gaming laptop which is around 80 to 90 degrees. -
