Apple's A14 chip vs Snapdragon 865+ - An interesting comparison
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Mobile
The upcoming Exynos chip with AMD GPU completely crushes the current Iphone chip and is set to be released with the Galaxy Z Fold in June. I never thought I'd see the time that Exynos chips are once again competitive in the current smartphone market. -
I completely disagree because there are countless YouTube videos showing that Gaming phones barely outperform regular phones because they use most of the same specs as high-end flagships with significant drawbacks such poorer interfaces, terrible cameras, and not waterproof. I'll keep saying it that Gaming Phones as of now are only a gimmick.

I'm not seeing it anywhere on the Google Play Store and besides, who even plays Apex Legends nowadays? I hardly see any streams about it.
-
I'm not even interested in going down this path again. I need my money so every bit counts so I won't spend my money outside of buying a game.
-
I'm not sure if you're being serious. You've never heard of Honor that used to be a part of the Huawei brands of smartphones? As I said in another thread, this camera thing is definitely getting outta hand.

I know but I thought we were talking about the free games. I have GTA on my phone as well and I haven't really seen any in-app microtransactions systems either.
-
Android Emulators are perfect for this. I personally have never really tried this and I don't really have a good reason to either.

I hardly keep phones for more than 3 years with my Galaxy s7 being the exception to the rule. I had that phone up until I got my Note 20 Ultra last year - well I do still have it but I use it more of a business phone. It still functions just fine and looks almost new with barely any scratches as I take great care of my products.

Android v iOS for gaming - which do you think is better?
killamch89 replied to DudeThatsErin's topic in Mobile
Not necessarily because Android manufacturers continue to copy Apple's way of doing things so I find that there a good number of people switching from Android to IOS. I'll give Apple this, their phones constantly receive updates for up to 5-6 years and they don't decline in value as quickly as Android phone. -
My Skyrim and Fallout 4 games are heavily modded but extremely stable. It allows me to experience these games in a different fashion every playthrough and I've been play Skyrim for over a decade but I'm yet to get bored of it.

I don't think there's an equivalent of PUBG lite for Fortnite. I doubt they'll make another app just for Fortnite because it takes a lot of work to update it.

Are those the RP servers for San Andreas?

Rasperry PI has some ways to go as it's core functions are quite basic and it needs to be able to run more advanced software. I like the project so far but it only matches up to extremely barebones PCs.
-
Don't get me started - I've been over this many times, I'll play them eventually lol. Funny thing is, I always say that but never really get around to it. Usually there's some new game that comes out and then I jump on that instead.

I was looking to get a bit more into content creation so I also needed a green screen. I don't mind forgoing the cost because what I plan to do requires professional-grade equipment so I can't use cheap alternatives.

It's different when you know how to replace the parts yourself but I was speaking in terms of someone looking to get into PC gaming that didn't know how to build a system. I have experience fixing computers and building systems since I was a kid so I'd be fine.

I do know of Skyfire but I'd never touch their products with a 10 foot pole because of the quality standards issue. To top it all off, I'd have to wait at 30 days before it's shipped to my country and there's no way I'll wait that long.

I'd assume he's using a monitor that's at least 20 inches or larger. He's not using a laptop after and those screen sizes are quite small for desktop gaming.

If it works with a Raspberry Pi, it'll work with anything because Linux makes using the simplest USB accessory a task.

I think I need to check that one out...

Streaming takes a lot of time and energy and unless you're earning a decent amount from it, I wouldn't recommend it all. I mean I've been in a few streams for Lords Mobile but that's just for fun. As a source of income, it'll take time to build that following.

Football Manager has always been the "OG on the block" and you also have Pro Cycling manager. Both great games and offer a very immersive experience.

Makes sense - hopefully when you get a PS5 and you can get the Special Edition, you can finally use some mods because it changes the entire Skyrim experience for you.
