It's true of the modern family - the dysfunction in modern families is absolutely insane. Hell, I also grew up in a dysfunctional home with a narcissistic, self-indulged father (he used to smoke and drink a lot when I was a kid but stopped completely when I was about 6), a good mother (fortunately, she doesn't drink or smoke), my bro and I were kids with anger issues who constantly fought. I can definitely relate to this.

I normally just leave the default night mode setting as I'm perfectly satisfied with the level of brightness I've seen.

Actually, switching over to AMD will probably create more demand because Omen laptops have always been Intel-based but they chose to go with the better processor.

Infinity M7/ Eluktronics Prometheus XVII Ultra review
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in PC
Actually, they're one of the best gaming laptops to be launched every year. They just don't have the marketing of MSIs, Asus and other more well known brands. It's more or less the standard of gaming laptops launched in the past few years. -
Lenovo Legion 7 Review - another one joins the Ryzen family.
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in PC
I agree - I like the Legion's designs but @skyfire is correct about the heating issues in prior models. However, it's a sick design. From what I understand, the difference between them apart from amount of RAM is wattage. The real world performance between both is comparable though. -
How would VR need to change for you to get into it?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
VR needs to be inexpensive and instead of those weird handles you use to control your movements, it should reflect your body gestures in real time in-game. I've used early versions of VR in the past and I think it lags a bit at times so that also needs to be addressed -

What AAA franchise do you have zero interest in playing?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I'd say Minecraft and I don't even know why I'm not interested in playing it because I have played Roblox in the past and I had a lot of fun and both games are somewhat similar. I don't even think it's a bad game to begin with but I just lack any real motive to play it. -
Approaching RL with the same intentionality as video games
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Due to how real life works, it's not entirely possible to approach it like playing a video game because certain actions regardless of how innocent has some very devastating consequences. -
My favorite era of online gaming would have to be from 2011-2017 when you had MMOs like Eden Eternal, Age Of Wushu, Blade & Soul among a few others. In 2017, everything went downhill with the introduction of the Battle Royale genre. Most online games are now full of endless paywalls.

Skyrim has always been my default game for the past 9 years and that isn't going to change anytime soon because it's still an enjoyable game. Honestly, I think I'll probably be playing Skyrim just as frequently in the next 10 years.

Sony Hiring Staff To Bring Major PlayStation Franchises to Mobile?!
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming News
Actually, YouTube is still the dominant platform with more viewers - most people don't use Facebook to consume video content. They use YouTube instead - Facebook as a media platform is very lackluster even by YouTube standards.
