  1. As for the amount of time it takes to put the components together and get it running, I'd say about 3-4 hours on average. It really isn't that hard to put together the components. If you watch videos from well respected tech youtubers, it's quite easy to learn and it's so much fun and satisfaction to see your creation come to life. You'll be like "It's ALIVE! It's ALIVE" and laughing like a maniac while lightning flashes in the background and some horror music chips in. Don't be that person...
  2. Alien Isolation & Cyberpunk 2077
  3. Those QHD panel laptops with the 3080 are all at 2700 dollars though which is really steep!
  4. I can see why they never made any sequels for this series - no drugs, sex, alcohol, murder, stealing cars...Nope Rockstar was definitely not going to follow this one up.
  5. Yeah I was going to mention the female voice actor thing but since you already did it, I have nothing to add...except that CDPR really went full Bethesda on their consumers.
  6. Yay? *looks around* Were these developers in some kind of cryogenic chamber for the last 31 years because they do know there's a device called the Nintendo Switch right?
  7. My sentiments exactly. Ubisoft isn't quite as bad as EA but there isn't much difference between them. Also, Disney has never cared about the Star Wars franchise so they'll just toss it around like a piece of meat. Bethesda depends on their modding community to finish games so I wouldn't hold my breathe if Bethesda had gotten the license from Disney.
  8. The thing is, the developers were telling the upper management that they'd need at least two more years to polish the game for all platforms but their leaders got really greedy. They had a good thing going and absolutely screwed it up. I accepted that reality a long time ago and that's why I never pre-order games because almost every game released nowadays is unfinished on their debut which makes no sense.
  9. Here's an update, the investigative report is done and it isn't looking good for them.
  10. Ryzen is really starting to make a dent in the mobile industry and I have a hunch they'll leave a bigger impression this time around. True but until I see a Ryzen version, I'm not really interested...
  11. Sell a kidney! How much is one worth in the pandemic? XD This must be one of the few times I'm really excited to buy an Asus gaming laptop or have an urge to... Asus also fixed their cooling issues this time around so these gaming laptops should perform far better.
  12. That's the way it's been with Nvidia in the last 2-3 years unfortunately... Not much of a surprise really - I knew this was going to happen again. We need AMD to start pushing out their mobile GPUs as well - some more powerful at that to really push Nvidia. Consumer deception has been a practice of companies for decades and nobody will address the issue so it's best to do your research before buying any product.
  13. Fun fact! Nvidia has indefinitely pushed back the release of the 3080 TI due to shortages in supply with their other GPUs. We'll probably have to wait until June before we even can get our hands on a 3080 or a 3070.
  14. That's why I stopped buying them long ago. I think in the last two decades, EA started to sneakily push the boundaries but us as customers were too blind to notice it until recently. I do agree that the modern era also brought their greed to light as well.
  15. AIs like the ones in the newer Hitman games are very bad examples. I mean the guy throws something into the food in front of thousands of people and not one of them is remotely suspicious. In older Hitman games, if you were even too close to an enemy while disguised they'd start to get suspicious of you.
  16. My previous desktop PC build was give and take $2000 at the time. This time around, it'll be even more expensive because I'm going to invest in a 3090 for 3-d modelling/animation so I'm looking at $3500 in total although I did buy most of the other components already. The only thing I'm missing is 5950x and a rtx 3090.
  17. Fortnite is particularly guilty of the practice and recent Battlefield games. I learned some life lessons from playing the Metal Gear Solid franchise as well. While games are mainly for entertainment, you can garner other things from gaming. For instance, gaming gives me a way to think about an issue (weird I know but it does and I usually find a solution to my issue while gaming).
  18. lol. I can't set games to easy because I get bored easily. I much prefer my games to be frustratingly difficult. Same here. I don't really get worked up over games to be honest.
  19. I admit to being a hoarder of resources and I'm not sure when I developed this habit in video games. If I'm going to use a weapon, I'll actually ration out how much ammo per weapon I'm allowing myself to use because I'm always thinking about a situation where I might be attacked and I have no ammo to defend myself or healing packs to regenerate health.
  20. You mean the Grenade Launcher in Quake 3 or Quake Arena because that was a pretty fun one to use. When I was in a fight with people I used to shoot at the roof at a 45 degree angle and let it drop right behind them and detonate. The Wabbajack from Skyrim is also a weapon I loved using just because of the random effects which ranged from turning someone into a chicken to completely incinerating them. Complete insanity just like the Daedric Prince that created it.
  21. Neither honestly, I mainly play it for entertainment and sometimes, it helps me to think or come up with solutions to a problem I was having in real life. I know it sounds weird but anytime I can't figure out something and I start gaming, a solution usually comes to me within 2-3 hours.
  22. Some people, especially the ones that didn't grow up playing videogames, look on video games as childish because their parents/guardians from the older generations had this mindset towards video games and they have that same view on videogames as well.
