Do games disconnect you from IRL or connect you to it in new ways?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It disconnects me from the real world - at least temporarily and allows me to relax and have fun. Also helps me to think about solutions to issues I'm having in real life. -
Games that offer the best social experiences
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I loved the PVP in Champions Online but I can't think of many other rewarding social experiences in games. Most of the time, MMOs tend to be full of drama, pettiness and other things you'd see in real life so I'm not so sure about the rewarding part. -
What games have made you jump out of your chair?

Alien Isolation RE 7 RE 2 Remake Outlast Manhunt -
Yeah, it has happened to me in the past but I always used console commands on the PC to resolve this problem.

Horror and Psychological Thriller List/Collection
killamch89 replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Video Games
This is a great list for the most part. You could add the original Manhunt game for PS1 (I think it's still banned though) and the sequel is pretty good as well. -
I've been recommended this game a lot as well since I love to mod games. The only thing I really even know about it is that you can modify the game to your liking.

My bad, It was a prequel. The irony of this is that the second movie in particular was pretty horrible - I have yet to see a great movie make a great video game.

It's a character who stands up for what is right irregardless of the consequences. One who doesn't expect help but is willing to free the oppressed, one who is willing to give a voice to the voiceless.

Game characters who give us great examples of how to live
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Solid Snake because even though he had the "inferior genes of Big Boss", he still showed that your potential is only limited to your self-belief. He also believes in giving people the freedom to live their lives. -
Has gaming shaped how you relate to others?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Not that I can think of - Honestly, gaming hasn't been that big of an influence on my life in terms of philosophy or how I socialize. In video games, you get to be who or what you want to be for the most part but we all know this won't last and we'll have to return to our regular lives once we turn off that console/PC. -
Worst thing to happen to you because of an autosave?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
About to be killed and autosave kicks in so every time you reload that saved file, you die instantaneously. -
This is another funny one especially when one of the goons imitates Jokers laugh.
