You'd be better off getting emulator as they can play the games you love at acceptable settings without crashing or some anti-piracy measure the original game director created activating.

Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter are my two picks because the dynamic of controlling two characters throughout different parts of the story was so fun. On top of that, the dynamic that Ratchet shared with Clank as well as the one Jak shared with Daxter created some pretty hilarious dialogue.

Which PlayStation console had the best launch lineup?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Playstation
I'd have to say the PS1 - it had so MANY games at launch or shortly after the launch such as Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Gran Turismo, Jet Moto, Wipeout, Xtreme Games etc. I don't remember any other PlayStation console even coming close to that. Well the PS2 would next on that list actually. -
To be totally honest, I'd go for the digital PS5 because when a CD gets scratched, you'll end up having to buy the same game twice whereas digital games are around for as long as the game is on the PlayStation Network.

Same here...

So true. It's a pain to deal with Ebay customer service (the imaginary customer service) because what they'll essentially tell you is that you'll have to suck it up unless you do a chargeback on your credit card and then you'll run into all kinds of problems with PayPal as well.

I did get one of those screens as a separate accessory. It was quite small but it was convenient - However, we hardly used it because we always played multiplayer games like Fifa and Mortal Kombat Trilogy so our TV suited us more.

I'll spoil it for you - yep he's right. I think that's why I probably didn't notice this as well because I always rush through that region or maybe I did notice but just didn't think much of it at the time.

It does ruin the experience - I do feel for PS4 and Xbox One users but I'm going to say that CDPR was better off just releasing Cyberpunk for the next gen consoles because even they struggle to play this game. The hardware specs of the older consoles are nowhere near what the PS5 and XBox Series has so I think that was pretty stupid on their part.

Games that are broken messes no one seems to talk about as such?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
Don't forget to mention the save file bug for PC where if your save file size is 8mb or more, it can become corrupted and they've yet to address this. CDPR says to just stick to the main story and do very little crafting. What CDPR should have done with CDPR is following Rockstar's release strategy where they release their games on one platform first and gradually introduce it to the rest of them. That way, they would've had more time to work on the console versions and it would've been better for everyone. -
Transferring Dragon Age Inquisition save from PS3 to PS5?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
I wish I could help you with this but I can't seem to find anything about that anywhere. Not even a video or article lightly referencing it... -
Even though I learned a great deal about World War 2 through books and documentaries, a part of that information also came from games like Medal Of Honor where they actually took elements from interviews with surviving WW2 vets and incorporated it into the game. It's a shame that EA didn't see the goldmine they were sitting on although the next Medal Of Honor game will have actual interviews with some of those people.
-
I have to agree here - I think Medal Of Honor has done the Nazi a bit more service in terms of making them seem like an organized threat. I don't think I've seen a game actually depict the Nazis accurately as in the concentration camps, burning Jews alive, the various experiments done on said Jews. Most video games just skim over the details.

ARK II an Xbox Series X/S console exclusive now?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Well this sucks. Arc Evolved is a great game - at least that's what I heard and still continue to hear. Coincidentally, Arc Evolved is one of the most moddable games in existence. Only Skyrim, Fallout 4 and few other beat it in that category. My guild mate in Lords mobile will be so bummed out about this because he's mainly a Sony fanboy. -
He's a character from the original Super Mario RPG. It's kind of coming back to me now - I never knew this guy was that popular in the Nintendo universe. It's ironic because he is a Square Enix character! Makes sense why he'd be announced around the same time as Sephiroth...

KFC's KFConsole Is Real: Secret Ingredient Is Intel Silicon
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Let's see it in action first. I mean the whole concept theoretically speaking, sounds logical in using the heat generated but KFC is going develop this? Then again, I've seen so much weird stuff happen in 2020 I should take this seriously...I'm not going to lie, it'll take me a bit of time to warm up to the idea. -

Lemon Cake is an absolute favorite of mine. I'm not quite as good at making it as my mother but it's delicious nonetheless. -
This moment has always stuck with me because of how Sephiroth just came out of nowhere and killed Aerith. I swear, this is one of the few times I genuinely felt a character's death and could sympathize with what could was going through.

Most heartbreaking moment in a video game?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
When Sepiroth just came out of nowhere and killed Aerith, I was in disbelief - I just couldn't believe it. -
One of the most impactful moments in the Metal Gear Series to me because it's ironic that the weapon you were once sent to destroy in the first game because a very valuable tool to stop another Metal Gear.

It's time for developers/publishers to stop rushing games to release
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
One of the main issues we as gamers face is the gamers with the lack of self discipline/gaming addiction who need their fix and will get that by any means necessary. That's why we now need the help of the government to regulate the gaming industry because that's the way it's going. Government regulation would ruin most games for us but things can't continue the way they are... -
Mortal Kombat seems to be the universal vote here. It was hilarious the protest of a certain group to the violence of Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat to me at least, wasn't even the most violent game at the time either.

Do you know anyone who is addicted to loot boxes/microtransactions?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I know quite a few people who have spent 10s of thousands of dollars on mobile games. There was once a story of a guy that spent 150k on a single mobile game which quite frankly could get you a nice house and leave over extra to invest. I doubt I've ever spend more than 1k on any game and that was over a period of 3 years. The game in question was Champion Online.
