1. Milk Before Cereal Or Cereal Before Milk
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
This is why I had so many food-related threads on this site. Just talking about food starts to make me hungry 😹. I do have a cooked breakfast most mornings. it's just that I'll occasionally opt for cereal if I'm busy and have to rush out the house or I just want to have it. -
I learnt my lesson about Preordering games when I decided to preorder Star Wars Battlefront in 2016...Needless to say, I've learnt to wait for the actual reviews of a game before I make a purchase(or anything else for that matter). CD Projekt Red are offering refunds and did send out a huge apology promising fixes and the whole works. I'll say this much, at least they make an effort to address the issue rather than make countless excuses like EA and others and you'd never get back your preorder money either.

I never played it that much to be honest - I was always playing Goldeneye with my friends. What was the game like? (I had borrowed it at one point but just never bothered to play anymore after a few runs.) This argument stands true to majority of the FPS from the early 2000s.

I just hope we can get a bit more ammo. In Resident Evil 7, you have to pray to the Gods before you stand a remote chance of finding any ammo. I'm looking forward to this game as I know Capcom will knock it out of the park as usual. I just wish Capcom could acquire the licenses for Castlevania, Metal Gear and Silent Hill.

A giveaway is a great idea. I mean, since they're already promoting their product, why not go all the way! I definitely wouldn't buy it for that price either but you do have some "controller collectors" who would want to add it to their list.
-
Knowing Nintendo, they'll probably release an identical controller but they'll try to address the issues like the "joycon drift".

It's time for developers/publishers to stop rushing games to release

They did offer an apology, promised refunds and fixes after the buggy launch so I'll be a tad more lenient on them unlike EA and others who would've told you to suck it up. -
Yeah, I had heard about that. Also, Ermac wasn't going to be a Mortal Kombat character until MK fans started demanding the "red ninja" after MK 1 and they decided to add him to the game as a playable character in MK Trilogy.

We've had various discussion about this buggy launch and I've said countless times that they should've waited until the game was actually ready. Due to the bad publicity of the launch, CD Projekt Red is now issuing refunds and promising Patch fixes. Now hear me out, I blasted them for the buggy launch and they fully deserved the criticism but I'll at least say that not many companies would've offered refunds (cough*EA - Star Wars Battlefront* cough). Bethesda and others wouldn't do the same - it at least shows us that they have acknowledged that they screwed up badly. Let's just hope they don't do this again. What are your thoughts on this?
-
So this was over the span of a week. I had heard about this and eventually Nvidia backpedaled because of other Youtubers supporting Hardware Unboxed. This is why I constantly tell people to not fanboy any company. Give your thoughts on this?
-
Could you elaborate? Is it that you have a budget gaming PC or other issues?

Snacks, Junk Foods and Fast Foods perfect for gamers

I made some Barbeque chicken with pumpkin rice and it was delicious! Why do I do this to myself?! 😹 -
Definitely a longer adventure game. Short adventure games especially the good ones such a painful experience because it ends and then you're back to square one after that.

THe Twisted Metal series is the pioneer of vehicular combat. Same here. Everything from the story to the environment was an absolute horror show. Well Kane, it didn't really affect us in any way so I'd say no harm done.

The new limited gameplay mode introduced in Rocket League is challenging. It's literally like playing Ice Hockey and you can even skate around the goals. Time to channel my inner MIghty Ducks!

I won't give CD project Red a pass for this and that goes for most companies but there's also the aspect of the toxic members of the gaming community threatening the developers as well as increased pressure from shareholders that they have to satisfy. Yes, companies should actually publish games when they're completely finished and they find no bugs/ glitches and it runs flawlessly on every platform they intend to release the game on. CD Project Red should have stuck to their guns and released the game when it's "actually ready". We need to address our fellow toxic gamers as well - the same ones who make an absolute uproar every time an anticipated title suffer some delay but complain when the said company releases their project too early. The only reason we will discuss Cyberpunk 2077 and not even mention Marvel's Avengers is because despite the bugs, the story is pretty good and the gameplay is good - Marvel's Avengers was a shit money-grabbing game with absolutely no effort put into it. (Imagine having to read my comment after Kane's wall of text. Good luck everyone!) -
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he's probably talking about modern open-world games that you can explore like GTA V. RDR 2. I'd say that they have their place and do provide hours of enjoyment and some replayability. As for recommendations: GTA V, RDR 2, Red Dead Online (it's now a fully separate game and free to play!).

Honestly, the only reason I lean towards Sub Zero a bit more is because the story behind both Sub Zeros and how the older one because Noob Saibot. I find their backstory a bit more interesting but Scorpion is my favorite from the jump as well and I love the rivalry between both of them and how they found out about Quan Chi's manipulation and became close friends after.

It' all apart of the process and it helps you get stronger and even fight stronger people and survive or in some cases, catch them off guard(this is from the learner or newbie aspect). If I'm on the other side of the fence, I don't normally pick on weak. inexperienced players - I tend to pick fights with the strongest people. The only way I'd attack a newbie/learner is if they accidentally got in the way. In fact, I tend to help out newbies with running dungeons or even give them a bit of advice.

Is there a useful role for bullies in MMOs?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I can understand reporting hackers and cheaters but some offensive language can be allowed to slide. I wonder what you'd say about the old COD online sessions where you'd be called all kinds of racial slurs and people threatening to join Al-Queda just to blow up your house. Back then, every one knew it was just trash talk and nobody paid it any mind. I even ran into some of them years after and they said the whole experiences taught them to toughen up. -
My sentiments exactly! It should be the case at all. - I see companies like EA and Activision do this despite experiencing losses. In some cases, over consecutive years and I'm confused as hell. Unfortunately, in the gaming industry, unionization and things like that don't exist as yet, That's why they're able to get away with such disgusting practices.

I'm always attacking strong players and because bullies tend to pick on the extremely weak characters, I tend to lurk in those areas and just pop up and wreck them. -
A bit of Cyberpunk 2077 but my gaming laptop keeps throttling despite the cooling pad -_-.
