Modding in games is basically adding modifications (created by you or others) to the original game by some kind of software to add content into it and create your own experiences. For instance, in modded Skyrim, you can create and add your own custom spells, perk trees, add enemies, add new lands - the possibilities are endless. While it can be done on consoles, the manufacturers usually forbid it and it's far more risky so it's mainly done in PC games.

The outrage about Mortal Kombat back in the days was hilarious looking back... Metal Gear Solid was a treat back in the days and you should probably try to play it someday. I'm sure you'd enjoy the full game. You do have a valid point there - removing blood and gore and not removing violence is pretty stupid. I always found the "videogame make kids violent" argument to be absolute BS because as you said, I don't know anyone that turned violent because of violent videogames.

I totally agree with you and it's the same issue with Fifa. Most of the animations are re-used from 2013 (that's right), they hardly add anything to Career Mode or Pro Clubs every year. I wish EA would really try something new as well.
