  1. When I used to wail on my friends in Pokemon on the Game boy. They deleted my save files. Needless to say, I've not spoken to some of them ever since...
  2. I know it didn't come out this year but Rocket League is my favorite game this year because of just how easy it is to get into it. It's a game you can play casually and enjoy without having to devote extended hours to it.
  3. Thanks for the laugh but you do have a valid point. It does come down to lack of understanding because of what gaming was perceived as in the past compared to now.
  4. Well, I normally designate a period of time for gaming per day and try my best to stay within that time frame. It helps me to be productive every day. It's a relatively simple technique but it takes a lot of discipline to actually stick with it.
  5. When it comes to poor quality games, EA is up there with the absolute worst. Bandai Namco isn't much of gaming company though. They're more known for action figures. Konami is definitely a terrible one but Nintendo still produce quality content although they have hopped on the greed bandwagon in recent years. Sony are a greedy bunch as well but they do also have some quality titles.
  6. I still have the original Final Fantasy 8 CD collection and my old PS1 memory card stashed away in one of my drawers. It's a personal favorite of mine...
  7. Syphon filter was a great game to me and I enjoyed the original game on PS1. Sadly that's the only one I've ever really played for any extended period of time so it's my favorite by default.
  8. The concept for Sonic hasn't changed much over the decades so every sequel becomes pretty boring and repetitive after a couple of hours. You're analogy about Sonic games is absolutely spot on. I mean, Sonic Drift has to be one of the oddest games of the franchises. He's already fast on foot so why would he need a go kart?
  9. I think he was talking about good alternatives not the terrible, cheaply made ripoffs...
  10. There are many factors at work here but the biggest one is the licensing. It costs EA and other companies millions of dollars just to get licensing rights to register teams into their sports franchises. I agree that upgrading the base game constantly would be less costly for both sides but lets be honest here - do you really think these greedy gaming companies want to lose out on any profit?
  11. SImcity and Age Of The Empire series are my favorite city builders. I'd add fallout 4's settlement building especially with mods but that's another topic for another day.
  12. It's a fun multiplayer game but I totally agree with you that it's a very basic game. I'll just add that I never really hyped the game up that much as I though it was very basic as well.
  13. As I've said before in previous threads, as it is right now, that's very unlikely. With their "exclusive" game policy, lack of basic features in the Epic Launcher along with the trust issues regarding data, Epic games faces a massive uphill fight to ever match Steam.
  14. I agree about Murdered but I felt it was unfairly deemed a bad game because it didn't have any multiplayer or online game modes.
  15. I used to have the Driver game for PS1 on a demo CD and that's what got me hooked to the series. The sequels up to Driver 3 was pretty good but with its dated graphics and gameplay, I'm not certain you'd like it that much though. The thing I didn't like was the fact that the tutorial was mandatory. There was absolutely no way to skip it.
  16. I agree that there should be laws specifically enacted to deal with greedy gaming publishers because this is a huge problem and it continues to get worse.
  17. 2k Games again?! I'm not even surprised by this at all - trust me. As I have said in numerous other threads, we need countries to start taking action against these other greedy publishers. What are your thoughts on this?
  18. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  19. Driver 3 was one of my favorites back in the day... In addition to that, Socom Navy Seals for the PS2 as well
  20. I used to love playing that game as well. Another one to add is the Max Payne series and Saints Row as well. GTA titles even incorporated certain mechanics from these games in more recent releases.
  21. That sounds like a fantastic idea and I'd definitely be interested in that as well. How I used to love playing SSX tricky....sigh....
  22. L.A. Noire is a favorite of mine as well although it's been close to a year since I last played it. The vanishing of Ethan Carter is a game I've heard some good things about. Murdered: Soul Suspect is a really underrated one but is a very solid addition. The gameplay is more linear than the vanishing or Noire as both titles are open-world games.
