Should microtransactions and loot boxes be banned?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
They should be completely banned out of existence. Loot Boxes and Microtransactions are the reason we end up with these unfinished games in the first place. -
Off the top of my head, I did fully complete GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, 4 and 5, Ratchet and Clank among a few others.
-
I'm going to say that Mortal Kombat Trilogy was my favorite fighting game of all time because the fighting mechanics, especially for combos, was so fluent.
-
I also mentioned the same thing some weeks back and he is bringing a lot of negative publicity to Gearbox Studios which could have an impact if this is continuous.
-
I'm also under the impression it is most likely Hammerfell but who knows?

WHO now officially lists "gaming disorder" as a disease
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
The description is too vague - I can tell the requisite research wasn't done because the variety of gamers is too vast for this definition of "gaming disorder" to properly identify which individuals fall under this category. -
The plot looks ridiculously complex - I feel like even when you finish the game, you won't be able to completely understand it either. The visuals are amazing and this is a Kojima (creator of Metal Gear Franchise) production so I expect the story to be very good and full of plot twists as well as great fighting mechanics.

I look for a solid side story or addition to the main plot and unique characters/game features that add to the original game world. I also like seeing the alternative perspectives of villains in a game - all at a reasonable price.
-
Bioshock and TLOU have way more freedom than the aforementioned games though - I love a brilliant story but it must be balanced with some amount of freedom and action.
-
Well, to be fair, I did rush through RDR2 because I was interested in how the story ended.

Dude goes to jail for murder after losing game.
killamch89 replied to Jerlene's topic in Gaming News
It's true - this isn't anything new under the sun either. This has been around since the 90s and doesn't look that perspective is going to change anytime soon. -
Those new AMD processors coming out soon are absolutely amazing and the prices are unbelievably reasonable. Intel is getting a hammering by AMD and with all those new exploits on Intel CPUs causing Intel to disable hyperthreading, it is looking very bleak for Intel.

Dude goes to jail for murder after losing game.
killamch89 replied to Jerlene's topic in Gaming News
Gaming should not be blamed for someone's lack of control in a situation. -
It depends on the type of game - I find that I like to explore in open-world games so I will take my time finishing it but with more linear games, I tend to lose interest unless it has a good story. Otherwise, I'll just play the main quest to complete it and that's that.

Is VR a new trend for E-sports?
killamch89 replied to Aerielle del Rosario's topic in Esports & Competitive Gaming
VR in its current state isn't really suitable for E-sports. In the future, it will happen at some point but the current tech we know as VR is very gimmicky at best and is riddled with issues. -
How long does it take you to adjust to a new game?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
It depends on the type of game but within 30 minutes I normally get the hang of the basics. -
Skyrim - working on my mod.

lol - I was about to ask the same question. Why do they even need a digital console?... Isn't that the equivalent of an underpowered budget gaming PC?
-
I agree - a very good single-player story with very interesting and memorable characters and missions. GTA online, on the other hand, I'm not sure if I'm to call it Saints Row the GTA online edition with all kinds of hoverbikes and flying cars...In the early days pre-DLC it was amazingly fun and even the beginning DLCs weren't so bad but then they just went crazy with orbital cannon strikes and the whole works.
-
That is debatable...

I went to a rural area with my mother to visit some family and the internet and cellphone reception there sucked... I mean my mother could have warned me that I'd basically be without internet for 5 days since I hardly ever go there. I felt like how Dj Khaled felt when he couldn't go on Snapchat because he was lost at sea 😂. What's up with everyone?

It also Turns Out that you DO OWN DIGITAL GAMES
killamch89 replied to UleTheVee's topic in Gaming Forum
They'll allow you some kind of DRM access should Steam go out of business - I vaguely remembered somebody from Steam had stated something along those lines.
