In late 90s there was list of games that were made for the mouse and the keyboard combo. And it was pretty easy to play them. You can see that Virua cop and virtua fighter were two of the games in that era which had some pretty good following. I am not sure if any one of you remember this but it is one good game to check out.

Have you played Until dawn? You should if not. It seems to be one of the good games out there in the market. And also the story has multiple endings based on your choices. Something like say cinematic movies come out.

If you are planning on playing modern games with enough performance boost (considering PS Pro has the better CPU and GPU). You can consider making use of the new PS Pro 4. And on that basis you just have to consider if it's any use for you. Or just wait for another new console in the series.
-
I see so you don't install them on the SD Card? In such case you may end up playing hardly few of them. or in fact none at all. I have a lot of space that makes me use more and more phone space. And so in such case I think getting new phone is the only option.

I have spent time with the nephew on some of the mobile games last week. And that time was definitely more. And I think kids today spend more time on mobile compared to what we have right now. It all depends on the content though. In some cases the mobile games can be pretty different in taste so I don't always spend time in the gaming there.
-
Halo and Anthem seems to be two good option right now. You may also find a lot of 2D games out there for the XBOX. Though I may assure you that in case of Microsoft only games there seems to be a lot of games which are yet to get popular out there in the market.

I think my opinion is that if it becomes profitable for them to sell handheld while having mobile then sure they may able to make it. But if mobile games seems to be more profitable it is waste of time and money to invest into it as a handheld. I don't see much value in it.

Does anyone have game-related artwork on display at home?
skyfire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I used to have those fan posters for final fantasy back in the day. But I have removed some of those over a period of time. These days I have no plans on adding any form of the work at home because I don't see much value or any attachment towards any artwork to be honest. -
If you could create a video game what would it be?
skyfire replied to kingpotato's topic in Gaming Forum
For me it has to be survival game in some context like creatures and zombies. I don't see the value of the games into car racing and stuff. I prefer something in which users are trying to survive. I know survival games are harder to create and take the most of the resources. But overall I think for those who are into game development budget always goes up and down based on the funding. -
Old games you wish you could try, but can't?
skyfire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Old NFS games are also harder to find. Most of the new games seems to be pretty much high on the PC configuration. And it makes you wonder that some of those old games can be any way played with say something like DOSBOX. I think if DOSBOX can support it then yes surely go ahead with the emulators play it on them. -
I think final fantasy and JUMP force can be two good anime based video games. Bleach is also one good anime and had a good lineup of the video games. There is also games related to pokemon which I am sure you already know as well.

They have the free and the paid game just like the Steam. And most of the content that you see in the itch marketplace seems to be good. Though I won't say that the games over there are of anthem level.

Considering Windows 10 will always be in the development and may update to adjust with new games. I think it'd be reasonable to say that Windows 10 may come back for the gaming. As of now only heard bad reviews of the Windows 10 not much good about the emulators. That's what made me think about if Windows 10 is any good for the emulation.
-
The issue is that some emulators often have issues with some OS specific to the resource allocation. That's what happened with the Win 8.1. And so I guess that's where the discussion moved to the Windows 10 on how it may or may not work for some old softwares.
-
I guess a lot of people tend to prefer the local dealers. Anyone here purchases from the online dealers like NewEgg etc?

I think you need to watch out some of the background services and the apps that are running in PC. And some of the time it can be pretty difficult to keep up with the CPU processes that can affect the CPU heat. I also make sure that antivirus is decent and not like Norton that eats up a lot of CPU.
-
In order to play the game on the modern Windows 10. You may have to install the DOSBOX. And then install some emulator and then run the game installation. It should be able to install that way. Also do note that in case of Linux you can use the DOSBOX as well.

I wanted to buy the cooler for laptop because I was keeping the laptop on the glass. But then in built cooler worked out. I'd recommend making use of the cooler if you plan on keeping the laptop on wood, glass and some other specific objects which can have heat issues. So that's something we have to check out as well.

I think yu can test it out inside the DOSBOX. Though you may have to check out with the forums of that game. And see if anyone else attempted the game installation. In such case DOSBOX can be a good option for you to try out.

If you are into old platformer FPS game then I am sure you have heard of the Contra game. The game is out on the console since the 1987. It was exclusive to the SNES. Later the game was ported to other consoles too. And now a days you can play the game through the DOSBOX. And other similar consoles that are out on the market. I think DOSBOX can definitely be a good option for you in such case. Have you played this game?

Remember the old pixelated game of racing? That game was on since 1991. And it's been a while since they made changes to their franchise. And they added the games over a period of time into the game. And the changes that happened over a period of time were definitely interesting. Check how the road rash changed over a period of time. Have you ever played the game?
-
I think I played the co-op mostly with the CS:GO. If you are specifically mentioning the campaign based co-ops then it's been a while. There are no new games that I can think of. And also there does not seem to be any good game that one can play these days. I'd say on that note playing co-op games seems to be pretty not much easier these days.

I have recently purchased Dell 116 optical mouse. And for my gaming and the writing related usage is worked out on that. I don't need any fancy mouse. So far good mouse that can let me hold the device and get to move the pointer is good enough. I may also consider making use of the similar other mouse which is good for grip on the hand is good enough for me.

There are many marketplace out there for the games. And then itch.io games marketplace is one where you can find some interesting indie games to play. I have been reviewing the games posted on itch marketplace for some time. They have games starting from 1$ all the way to the 25$ or more. And most of the games over there are for single players and also from the indie game developers where you can get support quickly. Have you tried games on this site?

If you were good enough to game for a living, would you?
skyfire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I think it takes a lot of mental and physical strength to be seated on the chair. And also you have to talk a lot in case if you are reviewing. You have to write script and also learn how to make use of the the time you have for review. Streaming can be also be stressful. And it can get you to work more in the process.
