Have you ever played a video game in an arcade?
skyfire replied to Alexander.'s topic in Video Games
I have a lot of arcade memories. Like I have played the games like street fighter, mortal kombat and few others. Like say mario, sonic and few others. Lot of those games were good. But it can be pretty hard to be up with the addiction. I also bring on the emulator these days and try to find the games that I used to play on the arcade. It is fun indeed on that note. -
I see. I only donate if they are streaming in my favorite genre of games. I know that some of the time it can be pretty hard to donate when we are not in position to donate. But yeah if you know the person and love listening to his streaming then yes it can be good to donate them so that they can continue. In other cases patreon can be a good option too.

Yes that seems to be the case, people tend to take the research too much literal. And then they tend to discard. I remember the popeye cartoon was used to sell the spinach. And it turned out good. And the same type of the manipulation can be working in other cases as well. It seems like there are times when the games can be bad but nobody seems to be addressing that.

I have to agree that there are many people who tend to play the game like an addict till it ends. And then they move to the another game. But here the addiction history remains. And that can be bad though. I mean there has to be some sort of pause in between the gaming experience. That is the way things should be from what I have noticed so far. Not all gamers know when to quit.

I am going to check out some of the game companies this summer and see if they have closed the shop. And then revive the emulators and play those games. Just for the change. I am also considering writing about some of those games. It can be fun to play those games which we used to do in past. it can be fun playing those type of the games these days.

I think critical thinking, eye for detail and also ability to test things out. Those are only skills that I have found out about the video gaming. And those are the skills that most of the gamers learn from their gameplays. I think it'd be not bad to have more educational games that can solves some of the real life experience on education side. So It's all dependent on each one of us how we acquire.

I kind of agree that people want to escape reality thats why they create fantasy. They create things that does not exist. Lot of those things turn out to be affecting their mental and physical health. On that note I'd say that there has to be some sort of balance for the gaming. Like this way you don't get addicted with the gaming.

The thing is gaming being thing like addiction. It is often not in our hands to control that behavior. It's same as the alcohol and the other addictions. Once it goes out of head, it just becomes habit. And all that we can do about it is work on the habits that keeps us away from the gaming. I know controlled gaming is lot better than anything from what I have seen so far.

Yes that is my point too. Gaming leads to the aggressive and the negative behavior among the teens. And that is not all some of the teens who turn out against their surrounding usually play a lot of games. I understand we are all gamers here. But we have to also know our boundaries and know that gaming isn't everything. And researchers funded by gaming companies would surely side with gaming companies.

What's a game you've spent the most amount of money on?
skyfire replied to Alexander.'s topic in Gaming Forum
Recently spending a lot of money on tower defense games. I download them for free but the upgrades inside the in app purchase kind of makes me want to buy it. So that small amount of purchases are now increasing slowly. I know I have to stop doing this and save money for better games later. But some of the games are really good on that note to purchase if you ask me. -
A lot of gamers make money off the ads and the sponsorship. However unless you meet 1 million subscribers, you are less likely to get any decent ads and the sponsorship. So you kind of rely on the donation of people and other methods like merch. So not sure how gamers make money until they reach popularity. I personally only donate to those who stream games in my niche. Do you donate gamers during streaming?

Days Gone Zombie Survival Game Releasing April 2019
skyfire replied to skyfire's topic in Gaming News
There is one walkthrough that was released which was based on the PS4. It's pretty good. Like graphics and sounds. Also the overall gameplay makes me kind of positive about the game. -
Let's face the fact, nobody wants to pay money to watch someone else play the game. Free streaming is what people need. And twitch and Youtube gaming gives them just that. Why would anyone want to pay for those game streaming. I understand that verizon wants to bypass the net neutrality and overtake on the user interest. So I think this surely will be challenged.

If cross play happens for F2P users too, then that would bring lot more traffic for them. I am not sure if they are even ready to handle that sort of traffic. Because it can be pretty difficult to handle servers when F2P numbers are more than premium users. Then again rocket league being game that can handle this, it won't be much of problem for them to add such cross play support.

Too early to make the comparison. I mean how many years STEAM is in market and how many years EPIC game store is in market? I am sure slowly they will add more features and try to compete.

I am not sure if you don't follow his channel how come you think he is not promoting racism. Gaming companies don't ban for nothing. Not in case of the pewdiepie. He promoted racism on many occasions. And he even spread rumors of some female employee and lead to her suspension. So he is not your typical weird youtuber but anti semitic racist person. But then again each to their own on judgement.

I am not surprised considering it was one of the most voted game on twitter. And it seems like after fortnite this is the game that was voted the most. Not even the PUBG was voted that high as of now on twitter. If you look at the gameplay it does not sound like bad game. It seems like good and worthy choice in the battle royale genre.
-
Based on the gameplay I would say it is not that bad either. I'd say that game is pretty unique in it's own way.

I think my point is people with the wallet are complaining and there is nothing wrong with that. After all they paid for it. And they have right to be upset. So I think devs are looking from their own side and people are looking from their own. But the criticism is kind of warranted.

There is a news that is circulating that the gamer pewdiepie has been banned from the game. Roblox says, he used the Roblox game to gained the subscriber and promote racism and anti semitic content on the youtube. I think it's right that he's going out of control and doing things which he has no right using his mass popularity. I am not sure which another game developer company bans him if he continues to use the game as a means to promote racism and anti-semitic values in his content. What do you think of this news?

2019 and 2020 is going to be busy for the gamers all over who are playing Ubisoft games. They are already releasing the Far cry new dawn and the Division. So next financial year they seem to be releasing more games as well. From what I have read so far there are no mention of the specific games. So I'd say they may mention it in the second quarter of the game. It can be pretty fun to know which are some of those games. What do you think Ubisoft would release?

There are lot of character reveals happened during the Mortal Kombat 11 game roster. I think it's kind of fun that every character that you get to play is mentioned before you buy the game. Jade is one such character that was specifically mentioned. And the gameplay also shows the abilities and the fight for the same character. So it's kind of interesting for the fans who are into the characters. So check out the video.

A pretty much flawed research says Violence is not related to the gaming. As per the Oxfords latest research Here. http://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2019-02-13-violent-video-games-found-not-be-associated-adolescent-aggression# But the reality is that people who tend to play violent games are bullies in school, involved in school shooting, mugging and other crimes. Instead of looking at this data, the oxford took random set of the data and then tried to came up with conclusion that games are not responsible. What do you think?

I think this is one more reason why people tend to prefer the Xbox as they are being generous. Whereas the PS is being purely greedy on the PS plus subscription side. I think i'd be continuing Xbox sub if I were to own that. I have not much time to play those online multiplayer games. So one needs to be pretty good on the game playing side for those subscriptions to be any worth.
