How many games do you own? Are they mostly physical/digital?
skyfire replied to DylanC's topic in Video Games
95% of my stock this decade is made up of digital purchase. And I have no plans on owning the box and the merchandise this year. The reason being those things are taking up a lot of space. And it can be pretty bad if you consider how the space keeps on reducing when we hoard game boxes and the items. That is what I have noticed from my experience while keeping the boxes. -
Last week I wanted to post this thread on one Android game named Monument Valley. They have released two games in the series so far. And both of these are based on the puzzle style. The puzzles are pretty unique but both games have pretty much same type of those games. It can be interesting to try them out. If you are into different types of puzzle games on android, I'd definitely recommend you to check out.

There seems to be lack of narrative adventure games lately. Despite the fact that old gameboy advance had those games. There is one game that is in process of release recently on playstation named Heaven's Vault. This game is classic narrative adventure. And it is kind of reminds you of all those 90s type of games. There is a walkthrough and review out there on youtube which you can check out.

I checked out one tweet today that said tonight they are going to announce the switch games. Do you think there will be some good titles being released today? Or it will only rehash the past games and push 1 or 2 good games? Are you looking forward to those new titles? Here is the tweet for you to check out.

There are many games out there that are making use of the blockchain. Some make use of it in the transaction. So say that is micro transaction. Some make use of the blockchain in mining within the game and have the gold and the universe inside the game. So it can be pretty interesting to see how the blockchain inside the games is coming out and how people tend to get the most out of the mining or the cryptocurrency in it. What do you think there is a future for blockchain in PC gaming? Would you invest your time and PC power in blockchain games?

Recently I have heard of a lot of complaints on the xbox forums regarding this game. The performance of the xbox seems to be laggy on the xbox one. I do have noticed that not all users seems to be facing this on xbox one. But I think this could be issue related to the hardware for some. And that means they have to get that restored by the support if there is any patch. So that being said, do you think anthem performance has issues on xbox one? What's your experience with anthem on xbox one?

I personally am not fan of the casinos. I have seen many friends losing money in real life. And I have noticed that it can get pretty bad with addiction. It's okay to try it once in life. But anything that leads to addiction is not a good thing. Most of the time I also don't like those online poker and other games. The reason being such games are rigged with program to never make you win in it.

I used to enjoy Final fantasy type turn based combat. But these days I'd rather prefer the straight forward FPS instead. Because turn based combat can be pretty boring. And often it can be same old pattern. And often has nothing new to the table. But I am glad that there is a category for something like this. It can be good to try out something new out of style once in a while.

Few of my questions: Is this game going to be FPS or scrolling shooter or zelda style adventure? Because classic graphics turns me off these days. Unless that 2D game has modern graphics and more colors instead of 8 bit content. I think I'd be up for game such as yours if it has something new and not feel like playing 90s games. I'd love to play that game if it turns out like say tower defense games.

You're referring to any specific mobile platform? I mostly play games on Android. I don't own iOS phone and have no plans to own it in near time. I think most of my gaming videos and the reviews are for the android platform. I love playing games on the android. The reason being lot of good games are being released by many gaming companies on this platform which is a good progress for android.

Let's start Discussing About Ethics in Gaming Journalism
skyfire replied to UleTheVee's topic in Gaming News
I think ethical journalism is dying ever since we allowed Buzzfeed like clickbait headlines and content to rule our everyday life. I think in order to get back at the proper journalism. Many new writers and reporters need to be compensated properly. Because you never know how the articles may affect the society. In case of gaming you may always find paid journalism that affects the sales. -
Nintendo has made it possible in switch to add friends and play with them on specific multiplayer games of their own and the others. You can also chat and discuss with the switch friend feature. So there are many forums out there sharing the friend code and accepting new friends to create alley groups and clans. Do you share such codes online or offline and have made any clans or the groups or friend circle online?

How many of you have the gameboy advanced ROM on Android or on PC? And what are some of the games that you play on that ROM or the emulator? So I thought I should make one thread for anyone who is up for the recommendation and wish to try out the games from that. Check out some of my recommendation. 1. Pokemon Red 2. Metroid Fusion 3. Final Fantasy 6 4. Castlevania Circle of the Moon These are the ones I can recommend you. Some of the really good games are lot harder to find in the terms of the ROM. So do let me know if there are any good favorite that you have in mind?

I am sure many of you are playing the Nintendo games since many years. And there are many games that are now old or say vintage category. So do you have some of those retro games in your collection that you wish to share with others? Or you still play every now and then? Here are some of my recommendations on retro games. 1. Super Mario Land 2. Cave Story 3. Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth I know there are many other titles I am missing. So just thinking if you have any other good nintendo recommendation for those retro games?

I thought we should have a good recommendation thread. Where you can recommend any specific game that you have played on Nintendo Switch. And you want to share it with others. So it can be pretty good to check out some of those games. Here are some of my recommendations. 1. Metal Slug 3 2. Neo Turf Masters 3. I am Setsuna 4. Xenoblade 2 5. Splatoon 2 These are some of the games that I'd recommend. Do you have any favorites? Or have enjoyed playing those games?

There seems to be rise in the Nintendo Mobile games. And it seems like a lot of games are now available on other platforms slowly as well. So here are some of my favorite Nintendo mobile games that you can check out on other platforms as well. 1. Fire Emblem 2. Mario Kart 3. Magikarp Jump 4. Miitomo These are some of the games that you can check out on android and other platforms. Do you play any Nintendo Mobile games?

If you like alien: isolation then you are going to love this game too. Though this game has a lot of similarity to other woodoo and call of cthulu type games. I think this genre of horror can be pretty creepy if you ask me. Some games are lot harder when there is too much dark and you get ghost randomly and have running as an only option against it.

I think modern games are increased in their 3D content and the voice etc. So they tend to take more space on hard disk. So 1TB is going to be new norm for those games requirement in near future. I know that in near future they may even be not sufficient. But I think in this year atleast we have enough games which can be fit into this sort of storage capacity. And it can be good enough for most of the casual gamers these days.

Wikia says that Nero is a son of Virgil. And now that Virgil is sealed and virgil's witch wife is gone. The nero and the dante are going to be bearing the story from here onwards. And they are not changing the part where the Nero lost his hand. They may keep him on prosthetic hand for series ahead too. That goes to show you that they have plans for these characters ahead in the game.

I only play the game in the dark if it is horror. And it can be something that appears as an experience for me then and only then I prefer to play in the dark. Most of the time I play in the light. And it can be good for my eyes. I don't see much reason to play in dark otherwise. I also think that to protect the eyes one should also use the flux light app in desktop. That also helps out with some games.

My battery usually lasts 2 hours and 10 minutes. It is now 2 year old laptop. And from what I heard this is a good performance of the laptop. So I am not complaining. I heard that new SSD based laptops tend to last for few more minutes So it goes somewhere around 2 hour 50 minutes or so. In that case the performance is not that bad I guess.

I think casual betting is fine. But it's paid betting is where things can go wrong. And you can see that many people have lost relationship and the friendship over those sort of betting. I think it's okay if you do it casually. But it's not okay if you plan on doing it anything serious. Because at the end it is sort of the crime in some countries too.

I think a lot of gaming companies follow a pattern where they check out the trends. For example battle royale trend is going on. So every gaming company comes up with a way to release such game. Then that trend becomes saturated. And then they move onto another game. This way the games become too much repeated. And there is nothing we can do on that front if you ask me.

Agree that games are complicated and require time and so they are priced that way. But I have seen that often the games on the steam and humble bundle are poorly priced. Like some games which are 2D platformer cost 9 dollar. I can't see the logical reason behind that sort of the pricing. I mean there are many other better games at that price point. So it does not make sense.

Yes most of the people can't handle streaming with their computers. But it is also true that some of the people can't afford the streaming because it may take a lot of data from their internet. So that is something may limit many people. I have seen that people who are in the region of the fastest broadband network tend to choose the streaming option for their gameplay.
