Nah, the new macbook pro range for the video is pretty much expensive like 2.4K same as this laptop. More RAM you add for the video production, it adds up as RAM for windows is cheap but RAM on mac is expensive like price of tablet.

I think tech wise they are doing good too. Like M1 chip has pretty much done comparison with i5 and i7 level of the chips and even competed with the Ryzen processors. And that too without much heat either.
