Yes of course, video games can be educational in so much ways. It depends on what you're playing that's going to determine what you're looking at learning from the game. I've heard someone said he got so much knowledge about guns because of so many shooting games he has played dealing with different kinds of guns. He can tell any gun in real life once he sees it because he's already very familiar with them in video games.

Will Rockstar ever make games that aren't GTA or RDR?
Heatman replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Well, that's what's happening right now. When you have something that's already working for you, it's smart to focus on it and milk it for as long as it brings the desired results. This is exactly what Rockstar is doing with their GTA and RDR franchise. Moving away from these honey pot is going to be a bad business decision. -
For those who didn't get to follow up on the PlayStation State of Play. Have fun! It was an interesting one. 15 games were shown but unfortunately there was nothing about upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but from update, it's going to be having it's own reveal show on February 6th, 2024.

How does the music contribute to the overall gaming experience?
Heatman replied to Debashis's topic in Gaming Forum
Even though music doesn't necessarily make or break a game as you stated, but when your experience in a game is messed up because of one thing or another (music), the game have been broken for the gamer indirectly in my opinion. -
There are sometimes when I would be having mixed feelings about this but in the end, I know it's something that's likely going to happen. This is why I have started preparing myself for it sooner. It's sad to see the era of physical game's come to and end but that's what technology advancement brings to the table.

Do your old memory cards still have your old saves?
Heatman replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Yes of course, I still have most of my old memory cards. There's no way I would ever let them go so easily because they saved so much I can't recover from anywhere. It's more like half of my gaming memories stored and I can't let them go. -
I've seen what you have been able to do with your own Bizdustry YouTube channel, even though its not a gaming channel, you surely have good skills to pull off running a good gaming channel. If I'm half as good as you, I'd take running my own channel serious.

What was it like seeing people play video games for the first time?
Heatman replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
If you're not the kind of person who doesn't like being involved with how another person plays his or her video games, I don't think such a person would even care to know how the newbie gamer is enjoying his stride in the game. For me, it's something that I enjoyed so much because I always like helping others get better. It brings so much excitement in me seeing them get good with the game and start enjoying themselves too. -
Unfortunately, I haven't been any video games museum before. Honestly, I don't think that I have ever thought about visiting a video games museum, so it's probably the reason why it never occurred to me. Maybe one day, it's something that I will check off wishlist because right now, I do want to go see one for myself.

One-on-one gaming session with any game developer
Heatman replied to Debashis's topic in Gaming Forum
With my love for Soul's game, it's definitely going to be FromSoftware that I would love to play Elden Ring with. I wouldn't mind playing with writer George R. R. Martin who took the role of providing the worldbuilding for the game. -
Could we see more popular 80s & 90s media made into games?
Heatman replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
This is absolutely how I call it and I can sure as hell tell you that they wouldn't care so much about any of those 80's or 90's shows, movies, or even books if they're made into a video game. I would say that they are wired differently from us. -
Voice actors in gaming who you wish get more respect
Heatman replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
David Kaye would definitely make it on my list of underrated voice actors who deserves more recognition than they are getting. Kaye voiced Clank from the Ratchet & Clank games, Sesshomaru from InuYasha, and Cronus from Class of the Titans. He had a big success from his role in the Transformers franchise, where he took part in Beast Wars. It was there that he voiced Megatron for the first time. He was too good in my opinion. -
Do you get any fun or humor from bad & horrible games?
Heatman replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
For me, if a video game is known to be bad, horrible and downright awful by all means, I doubt that I would be willing to play the game. The only reason I would be interested in playing such a game would be if it's a game that I've been anticipating to play for a long time. It was just like my experience with playing KH3, it was definitely bad and I never liked or enjoyed anything in it. -
As far as my used of AI programs like ChatGPT and Google Bard goes, I haven't gotten to the level of trying to get game's coding information to create any kind of video games. In fact, I don't have any interest in coding or creating a game. It's why that thought never crossed my mind.

Bungie is one company that's very good at making extraction shooters games. From what I heard, they're bringing back IPs like Marathon into the mix in order to continue their expansion into the extraction shooter market. It can be tiring sometimes but one thing I know for sure is that I wouldn't be forced to buy or play any games I don't want to. So, they can expand how they like, it's not going to matter to me if I don't want to play it.
-
Yes, of course. I still make out the time to play some video games with my close friends who visit me in person or that I do go visit once in a while. We do play online games together too but whenever we can spare the time to hook up and play some co-op games, we are definitely going to make it worth it.
-
Haha, it's indeed a bad habit or should I say a selfish habit. Since you can make out time to review the games which you played that are supposedly bad, you should even have more desire to review the good ones that met your expectations.

I actually have a YouTube channel at the moment but it's not something I would call a gaming YouTube channel because it doesn't have any video games on it. I have thought about turning it into a gaming channel but I'm yet to make the decision yet.

It's not like I don't care about playing with a partner, I do and it can be fun but that's not like a must for me all the time to always look to play with a partner. There are some games I would love to play solo and vice versa with a partner. I simply enjoy playing both ways.

There was a hack I used for my Playstation 1 console game disc back then. It was using powder to clean. Apply small powder on the surface and use clean soft cloth preferably a cotton material handkerchief to clean it. It used to work for me then. You can try it and see if it works. Ps. This is why I've upgraded to fully only digital games now.

How does the music contribute to the overall gaming experience?
Heatman replied to Debashis's topic in Gaming Forum
It's just not only in video games but generally, life without music is very boring. So, imagine how boring it's going to be when you're playing video games with the gaming music and soundtracks? I wouldn't want to play video games like that because I'm very sure that there's no way I would ever enjoy such games. -
Some years ago, I used to have a strong and strict budget for my gaming which I don't joke with. I would rather make sure to never over spend above my yearly budget for any reason whatsoever. It doesn't matter which games came out later, once I've exhausted my budget, I'll wait till next year for a new budget.

Do you think we'll see more physical releases through Limited Run games?
Heatman replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
A few days ago, I came across the update that Microsoft is reportedly laying off the entire physical game department at Xbox. It came as a serious shock to me but in the end, I believe that it's something we should have expected to happen sooner or later. -
Do you get the same excitement video games used to give you as a kid?
Heatman replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
This is exactly how it worked for me as a kid. Mehn, I had literally no responsibility that have me much more committed to other things. So, it was literally me and playing video games. There was no way I wouldn't be excited to get a new game or in fact any game to play. -
Do you get the same excitement video games used to give you as a kid?
Heatman replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
Well, for me it depends on the kind of game that I'm playing right now as an adult. When I was still a kid, it didn't matter. I love playing any kind of video game but now my preferences have ripped very well. So, how good a game is would determine how excited I'm going to be playing it.
