I'd love to see some kind of war sim where guerilla warfare is highly encouraged and you're not the hero nor will the npc automatically co-operate with you just because you came to save them.

That's definitely going to be an exciting as well as an interesting introduction to the gaming world. The real question would be the best company to get its production right?

Same here and it also impacts your behavior negatively where you're being rude to other people for no reason at all.

Yeah - that attitude seems to kick in when the player gets frustrated with the game especially when it's playing too much and not making any progress.

Same with my dogs, they hardly touch anything in my house even though they primarily sleep and spend most of their time outdoors.

Seriously, I think it's got to do with training you gave to your pet it follows to the latter. My boy loves cat to me that loves dogs.

You've already encountered it - Pokemon Go is a somewhat primitive version of AR. It's used to bring virtual elements into the real world. VR is different in that you interact with a virtual space more immersively. Here's a video on AR:

and here's a video explaining Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.

Ooh yeah, that's right. You're very correct because I have actually encountered it on more than one occasion and the YouTube video did good with making it very easy to recall and understand.

I agree with the dragons thing especially the fact that they're all so generic. Every other boss dragon outside of Alduin is extremely generic in terms of looks and abilities. I also agree with you about the Oblivion Gates in Oblivion, I did finish all of them but only because I wanted to see if I'd have gotten some kind of achievement which I didn't...so yeah...

Oblivion Gates in Oblivion is quite the catch for. I had to drag it out till the end for the playing sake experience purpose and nothing more.

My cat doesn’t mess with my PS3 because It is under a low desk and she cannot squeeze under there, but the only spot I can think of for my future PS5 will be an area she frequents. Those of you with pets, how do you keep your pets off of your consoles?

I'm a dog person and my Jack knows very well that my Playstation 4 console is off limits to his playing or whatever. It's an X zone for him and he respects that boundary.

I was having a conversation with one of my former guildmates from Champions Online and the topic of Augmented Reality came up. We both thought that Augmented Reality wasn't going to be as integral as Virtual Reality in gaming and was simply riding the wave of success VR achieved. What are your thoughts on this?

Augmented Reality you say? What's that all about because this is actually my very first time of hearing about it. What's its connection to VR in video games?

It's very rough since the model was created through 3D reconstruction aka. photogrammetry using screenshots from the model viewer. If I could get my hands on the actual models from the game it would be much better.

Wow, this looks interesting and very captivating. I might try doing something like that but with clay if it's possible.

Are there games where you find the main quest line to be far less interesting than everything else in the game? I tend to feel this way about most open world games in general, but particularly about Skyrim.

Well, it's actually what you get in most open world games where you can decide what's important to you and play it that way with freedom and free will.

That's a valid point actually. In most games nowadays, the consequences of failure are absolutely non-existent. If I were to put a game on this list, it has to be Dark Souls. The checkpoints are few and even if you pause the game, the game itself continues so if you were getting murdered and thing you could take a break, the pause button won't save you.

Seriously, the feeling of playing Dark Souls only is scary to begin with. It's not a game that I easily jump into because I know the consequences of what I'm getting if I'm not prepared.

In another thread, @Reality vs Adventure and @The Blackangel and I were talking about aspects of human nature explored in video games, and got to talking a bit about heroes in games. While most games I think make fairly typical statements about heroics and its value, one game that takes a very different stance regarding the ego-driven desire to be a hero is Spec Ops: The Line. What other games make unusual or unexpected statements or critiques on the idea of the hero?

I believe that your referring to the part in Spec Ops: The Line where innocent women and children were unjustly murdered with white phosphorus.

Are there any specific types of sim games you think would be cool, but do not to your knowledge exist? I know there are some coral reef/aquarium type sim games, but they seem really casual, and I think it would be cool if there were a super detailed one for maintaining a diverse coral reef habitat.

Personally, I'd be open to getting more of anything like Flight Sim games because it's an interesting part of that game genre till date.

Most online game require a lot of data to access them. But as far as offline game is concerned, all you need to do is download it and start playing at leisure time. Who know much of online game that does not require much data consumption.

Personally, I believe that both offline and online video games are very interesting to whomever that chooses to play each one. I do find both of them enjoyable, although online games seems to be more competitive.

Been interested in getting No Man’s Sky for someone, but specifically he only wants games that are relaxing. Is this a relaxing game in offline mode?

Well, it can actually be relaxing for some while it's not to some as well. It's what happens with our individual differences to deal with things we associate with. For me, it's a relaxing and enjoyable game.
