What could be done to improve open world gaming?
Darth replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I would love it if the missions in open world games like GTA really do offer us freedom to complete missions and side-quests the way we want to. It seems that Rockstar will be going down this route if you look at the recent Cayo Perico heist. They truly do give you a lot of different options to do the heist the exact way you want to. -
Did a reviewer ever change how you perceived a game?
Darth replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I rarely read game reviews, to be honest because my impression of a game is the most important. I've seen way too many bad gaming reviews of games that I have loved and enjoyed a lot to put a lot of trust in them. Some journalists seem to have agendas as well which is not great. -
Please Consider Disabling Your Ad Blocker to Support VGR
Darth replied to DC's topic in Gaming Forum
As long as sites aren't annoying with their ads, I'm always happy to disable my ad-blocker especially for sites that are useful and fun to spend time on, such as VGR obviously. The sites that bombard you with ads and pop-ups just are way too annoying unfortunately. -
An absurd price, to be honest but I love that FIFA is doing this to EA. They have been an awful, awful company and there is no other company that deserves something like this especially considering how much money they make from us. The problem for FIFA is that we don't really care that much about the name of the game

Graphics improvement and a controls improvement are the most important for me. This is what I want from the GTA trilogy remaster. I know the controls improvement is guaranteed at this point but I hope that we get a huge graphics improvement as well

What feature are you expecting to see in FIFA 22?
Darth replied to Head_Hunter's topic in Video Games
Yeah. Unfortunately, Jesus just wasn't working for me which might have been the 2 striker formation. So I just went with Werner up top with Sterling and in-form Sarr either side of him. Playing a lot better like this so I'm going to stick with this team. -
Might take a bit longer, to be honest. With the re-release of GTA 5 on the current generation consoles, I think they will announce GTA 6 (an image probably) in 2023 and then release the game in late 2024 or 2025.

Considering my PS5 is my main console, I'll go with PS Plus since the free monthly games are slightly better. Plus, I like that Sony doesn't require you to have PS Plus to play free-to-play online games. Microsoft should do the same with Live Gold, to be honest

They have a premium membership and options to buy stuff within the app so they do make money from it. But like any other app for such a purpose, you need real-life experience and conversations to learn a language properly.

I heard a lot of good things about this show after finishing Squid Game so started watching it on Netflix. I'm currently about halfway through and I have to say, it is really good! Has anyone else watched Alice in Borderland?

What surprises me the most is that they were already behind FIFA by a lot, mainly because of Ultimate Team. A lot of people love FIFA just because of UT so PES needed to make some major changes to catch up. But they haven't done that and now they're simply going to fall behind even further. EA must be loving this

Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy Definitive Edition Remastered
Darth replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Video Games
I'm hyped to see what changes they will be making but at the same time, nervous that they will release a "remaster" that changes almost nothing. At this moment, I still have a bit of trust in Rockstar but we will have to wait and see I guess. Saying that, I probably will get it anyway. Really want to play Vice City again. -
Yeah, that's the one. I use it at the moment to learn the basics of Spanish. It's quite a good app to learn languages although probably not enough since you would still need to do some more learning externally.

I have used a Google Play gift card to purchase some gems (I can't even remember if they were called gems) on Clash of Clans. Other than that, I have never really spent my own money on in-app purchases. I do use Google Rewards so that's a great way to earn Play Store credit. I recently bought some gems for Duolingo using the credit I had earned completing surveys.

I have tried it once or twice but I'm not a huge fan of them. I mean, I have no issue with people playing first person shooters on mobile but surely, it's extremely uncomfortable to play a FPS with touch controls? It would just annoy me especially if the controls and your fingers hide parts of the screen

Is gaming your favorite form of entertainment?
Darth replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Tough to say really because I also enjoy watching TV shows and movies. If I had to really think about it, I would much rather give up gaming than never being able to watch a TV show or movie again. That probably helps answer the question so I guess TV shows and movies are my favourite form of entertainment instead. -
Having seen some of the money that the big Twitch streamers are making, I would love to do it. I'm sure it gets boring for them having to play games every single day as a job but for the money that they are making, it would be worth it. The only issue, is of course, that it's not exactly easy to become one of the those streamers at the top

I do play some games on my smartphone but I wouldn't really consider myself a mobile gamer. I play them when I'm extremely bored and I have nothing else to do. I used to be addicted to games like Clash of Clans and Clash Royale but not anymore, to be honest.

When is a playthrough of an open world game “done?”
Darth replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I guess, with an open world game, you're never really "done". You can finish everything that the game developers have defined such as the missions, side missions, collectables etc. but you can still do whatever you want to do. -
It has to be Grand Theft Auto for me. I've always loved the games in the series and even with some of the flaws with both GTA V and GTA Online, it's still a pretty fun game to play in your free time. I personally cannot wait until Rockstar brings out the next game in the series.

What features makes PS5 a better console than PS4?
Darth replied to Head_Hunter's topic in Playstation
Ignoring the differences in the specs, I prefer the UI and the controller of the PlayStation 5. The PlayStation 5 UI looks great although I would have loved it if we had themes like the PS4 had. And the new features that came with the DualSense controller just makes the gaming experience a lot better. -
I do. I use Bitwarden at the moment although I will probably try to find another one soon. It's good on my laptop but awful on my phone so it's quite annoying that I can't just use one password manager for multiple devices.

The Google Play Store makes it quite easy to request refunds so I do request them if I try a new game and I don't like it right away. I don't believe it works anymore for in-app purchases though since that can be abused by people. I do like that they mostly operate an automated refund system as well. Just makes it easier to deal with
