I think the only game where I actually enjoy the side content/quests is GTA. Grand Theft Auto 5 had some amazing side quests and their random events made the game quite interesting as well. Nothing like picking up a random hitchhiker and being able to decide whether to take her to the cult in the mountains or drop her off at her destination.

Pretty cool idea actually and I'm surprised that no one has thought about it before. Might be a good idea for me to try it out with Valorant since it's like playing the lottery if you go into a public match with random people. -
For the Xbox Series X, I would love for them to start sending out the controllers with rechargeable batteries. There's no reason for them to make us buy them separately. With the PS5, the only thing I would change is for it to be slightly smaller. It's not a huge problem but it would be a lot better.

In terms of dialogue, I don't like to skip it because there is a risk that you miss something extremely important that helps you further along in the game. In terms of side quests/missions, I do sometimes skip them especially for games that I'm not addicted to.

It's a pretty fun game that looks amazing. I play it through the Game Pass on the Series X because it's a great game to get achievements. And since MS Rewards require an achievement every day for 50 points, it's the perfect game.

NFS, FIFA, and Battlefield. Right now, I would probably go for either FIFA or Battlefield since Need for Speed doesn't seem to be as good anymore. The last NFS game I played was Payback and that was awful, to be honest. Had an extremely stupid upgrade system which was annoying

Games you bought and tried but don’t play at all?
Darth replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I think I mentioned it in another thread, Rocket League. I mentioned that the game is quite popular but I could never really get into it. Unfortunately, I purchased it before it became free so ended up buying it and not even playing it that much -
Not sure what they are up to, to be honest. That roadmap does not look that great either because the game at launch is going to be extremely boring. It's a shame because the only way EA will do a better job with FIFA is if they have competition and this will not do that.

My previous experience with a Xbox controller was the 360 one so this is a nice upgrade and feels a lot better than that. But after using the PS5 one, this just feels cheap and boring really. It's a decent controller but what Sony did with the trigger effects and haptics is just out of this world.

I want a virtual reality experience that doesn't make me nauseous. Might be an unfair judgement since my only virtual reality experience is from those crappy devices where you stick your phone into it but because of that, I'm never really going to try VR unless I know for sure that it won't make me feel sick.

What games feature the most realistic lighting?
Darth replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Tough one to say because I'm sure there are loads of games that I haven't tried or seen that have great lighting. But out of the ones that I have played, it would have to be either Red Dead Redemption 2 or Microsoft Flight Simulator. -
Pay a monthly price to get the Xbox Series X console and Game Pass Ultimate for the duration of the contract (so 2 years of it). You don't pay anything extra in terms of interest but you do end up paying full price for Game Pass Ultimate. If you bought it separately, it would be slightly cheaper since you can usually find a decent deal for it.

What is one thing you wish you could change about your favorite game?
Darth replied to DudeThatsErin's topic in Gaming Forum
I've played it on the 360, PS4, and PS5. It's quite a drastic change from GTA 4. Since you're on PC, you can easily go back and try out GTA 4. You will notice straight away how much of a difference it is. The cars feel heavier and tend to "drift" a little more when turning. -
I'm not 100% sure but I think golf is not an Olympic sport? If not, then I think that would be quite a good addition to the Olympics. It would be interesting to watch and actually requires a lot of concentration and skill so it would be a well-deserved addition.

GTA V but with the driving gameplay from GTA 4. GTA V felt like more of an arcade game, in terms of the driving which I didn't like. For me, GTA 4 had the perfect driving mechanics and it was an actual challenge to drive the cars which made it a lot more fun -
Do I get made when I lose to struggle with a particular game? Of course but I have never raged over a game. I honestly think it's crazy that people can't control themselves enough to not throw a controller or device when they lose 😅

I wouldn't say detest because that's a strong word but it's Rocket League for me. Everyone seems to love the game but when I tried it out, I didn't like it. It's an okay game but the constant jumping around and moving the camera all over the place just gave me a headache.

A massive game that looks stunning. Microsoft Flight Simulator is a well known title but does anyone here play the 2020 version on either PC or Xbox? And if so, what do you think about it? I got my Series X mainly for this because my laptop would never be able to run it properly. I'm pretty happy with the game as well.

I can't even remember if I played it or not, to be honest. My first ever FIFA game was FIFA 13 and I ended up getting that quite late because the game was already out when I got my Xbox 360. Unfortunately, I didn't have Xbox Live Gold back then either so couldn't play online.
-
I don't think I've ever tried it. The majority of the multiplayer games that my friends and I play, I or them already own so it's not something we've had to try. The concept is pretty cool though and I'm glad Sony decided to have it for PS consoles.
-
I have Game Pass Ultimate which provides me with the Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. I got my Xbox Series X through the All Access program so they charge me for Ultimate alongside the console. Not a cheap option but pretty happy with it since it was the only way to get a Series X (stock issues).

How long do you run your console in the heat before giving it a break?
Darth replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I don't tend to play for a long time in one sitting so this is not a huge issue for me to worry about really. At most, I play for around 1-1.5 hours and then go do something else. Plus, the temperatures don't really get that high in the UK anyway. -
Played a bit of F1 2020 on the Series X earlier today. The Xbox Game Pass really is an amazing thing because it lets us try out games we normally wouldn't try. Well worth the money, in my opinion.

Anyone else have trouble with jumping in games?
Darth replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I know what you mean lol. I've a lot better on console because I've become accustomed to the controller. But when I started playing Valorant recently on my laptop, I was awful with jumping. I was struggling to jump on to a box and then jump into a room. Always fell off 😂 -
The player base is quite good right now. You can find a match pretty quickly and there are new players joining all the time. If you can find a good clan to join, then the game is quite fun because the clan wars are great.
