  1. Still, best to avoid any Valve developed game on Steam until the all clear is given (if it hasn't already, at this point I haven't heard anything).
  2. There is no game called "King's Raid" on EGS.
  3. You're downplaying this and not stating the full facts. This is serious. Based on what I saw, it is (or at least was) NOT safe to play the game. In fact, sensible advice steers people away from paying any Valve developed game on steam (and not just CS:GO) until patches are out. This leak didn't threaten personal details stored on Valve's servers, but could allow hackers to access your computer files and install any number of unwanted software on one's personal computer. From ransomware, adware, or aim bots and other cheating software to get your gaming accounts banned. If my understanding is correct, a development subcontractor working on something with valve was given access to source code for valves security protocols to make their development work on this project possible. The project never came into fruition, but a disgruntled former associate of this subcontracted development company, who was involved with apparently some very toxic and prejudiced underworld gaming communities leaked this code on 4chan out of spike after being fired. This is a really embarrassing thing for Valve as this could have happened any time and the threat have been easily been nullified through patching over the last 2-3 years. Valve being Valve though, they didn't bother, even though they knew former contractors had this source code. This leaker is the one primarily to blame for this, but this situation was made possible through Valves lack of vigilance in the first place, so they have to be accountable as well. Here's the twitter thread from a representative of this company that this individual once worked with to gain this source code.
  4. Story driven, action adventure, RPG, but like I said I'm not focusing to hard on genre here, I'm fairly open.
  5. I think this is a good thing. WWE hasn't had a good tie-in game since 2K took over and they only got worse, culminating in the disaster known as WWE 2K20. This franchise needs a break to get it's shit together, and honestly if WWE were to look elsewhere to produce the games that might be for the best.
  6. I appreciate the suggestion, but I know that won't help. They made it perfectly clear what the score was with this thing, it's not their fault that I forgot all about it. This is my only option if I want to make use of it.
  7. I have an unused Epic Store coupon worth £10 that's going to expire on the 1st of May; I've checked the T's and C's, I can't use it on in-game purchases, pre-orders and can't sell it or give it away, so it's either use it or lose it. So basically, does anyone have any game recommendations? I don't particularly want to spend it on a full priced AAA game because that still spending a good £40-£50 and, as you can see, the game needs to cost at least £13.99 ($15 on the US store). Of course, the game has to be on the Epic Games Store, Steam is no good here. Not going to specify genre as I'm feeling pretty open about it. I'm not sure what I want, so any help would be appreciated as I'm just shy on impulse an inspiration right now and I just want to avoid wasting this thing if I can.
  8. Thank you so much @The Blackangel. My nominees; @The Blackangel @kingpotato @StaceyPowers @DylanC
  9. I'll probably change my mind in 5 minutes, but for now I'm going to say the Godzilla Games episode. This felt like a more personal journey for him, but still managed to make the episode very funny. Action 52/Cheetamen, Home Alone games w/Macaulay Culkin, Toxic Crusaders w/Lloyd Kaufman (That one is hilarious), Mario 3, Batman Games, Dark Castle and the Philips CDI are all very good as well, but I'll stick with Godzilla for the moment.
  10. As far as I can tell, it's a licence based on a live action adaptation of a book series from the 90's of the same name, Animorphs: Shattered Reality. I have never hard of the book series or the show, so I can't comment, but when something isn't remembered from the same era targeting a similar demographic as Power Rangers or Goosebumps that's got to be a bad sign. @kingpotatoThis is what is referred to as a 2 1/2D platformer. Mostly 2D, but with a third dimension being explored in some aspects of the gameplay. Crash Bandicoot works in the same genre. This is a let's play I found being played by someone who is familiar with the source material, so it's a good insight into what the game is about. As aforementioned, it' a 2 1/2D platformer with some bizarrely brief combat sections where you morph in an animal (That's something from the lore I assume). It looks clunky and difficult to control, it's not a particularly good-looking game with odd on odd mix of at styles and low res' graphics even by PS1 standards, although it looks challenging and there's a varied offering of platforming obstacles. Overall, I doubt it's worth playing, but @The Blackangel, I'll let you judge for yourself.
  11. I can't quite tell if this is a fun tribute fuelled by fan passion, a complete piss take or a DMCA strike waiting to happen. Maybe all three. I've never seen the show, so tis obviously isn't for me, but I still wish these devs the very best of luck and this has potential.
  12. I've been mixing it up. Gaming here, bit of Netflix there, social media and YouTube in between. I'm not doing too bad, but it's getting harder.
  13. I see "simulator" on the title of a game, I immediately social distance myself from it... before that it was cool. The world is full of posers.
  14. No denying that it's a desperately pretty game, but It's hard to tell if it's gonna fun to play. I get that's not supposed to be Contra or anything, but even for what is supposed to be a more relaxing, chilled out experience it looks kinda slow with little happening. I gotta say though, I do find the idea that the dev's pretty much made up and entirely new genre of game quite amusing.
  15. Yes, once again the wait for this hugely anticipated game, like it's the only reason I still live and breath kind of anticipated, has been extended, this time indefinitely due to what Naughty Dog are calling "logistical issues". Translated, because the world had gone to hell they can't ship physical copies of the game in an effective, timely and predicable matter right now, even though the game itself is actually finished. They could release the game digitally, but they reckon that wouldn't be fair to those who want, and especially pre-ordered, the game on disk. A strange situation that Naughty Dog's characters can handle a shitty situation like this better that they themselves can. But still, it's hard to blame them. It was inevitable that stuff like this was going to happen as a result of what's going on in the world. This game will not be the only victim of this, just one of the more high profile ones. Hope they keep trying, within reason, to sort this mess out, so we can have the game soon.
  16. Welcome to the forums. Firstly, and most importantly, I would avoid key resellers, especially G2A. The idea is that people put up unused game keys for sale to unlock games on digital sales platforms such as Steam. It's easy to end up with extra games keys that you don't want. For example, unwanted gifts or if you bought a bundle but there are games in that bundle you already own, you could sell those keys on these sites to someone else that wants them. It's kind of like an eBay for game keys and digital software. The key reselling sites of course take a cut of that sale and/or host ads on the site that's how they make money. The first problem is you can only take these resellers at their word that the keys are genuine and haven't been used, so it's always a risk. Second issue, and this is especially true with G2A, these sites have been known to sell games bought from the original retailer with stolen credit card info, turning their store fronts into a front for fraud. G2A has found itself in hot water over this a lot of the last 2-3 years. Yes, keys on these sites can be very cheep, much cheaper than buying direct from Steam, Epic Game Store, GOG, PSN, XBox Live or whoever it happens to be, but I personally wouldn't be tempted by them.
  17. I'm sorry, didn't mean to cause offence, but this isn't about grammar, this is clearly SSP. Nobody joins a gaming forum with a blank profile and then first thing they do is start a topic pushing some random mobile game. SSP is fine, but at least be honest about it. Links and/or screenshots wouldn't exactly hurt either, just a tip.
  18. Control, and action adventure from 505 Games, Is on 60% discount on PSN, at least in the UK, I don't know about other regions. I've actually been keeping an eye on this for PC over the last few weeks hoping to see epic drop the price down, but they haven't, only to come across this deal on Playstation; This deal ends at midnight tonight (April 1st 2020), and because the PC version is still an Epic Store exclusive, don't expect to see this price for this game anywhere on any platform again anytime soon. If you have a PS4, this is a chance worth taking.
  19. I'm seeing some mobile gaming exec here trying to "type street" on a gaming forum as if we don't use perfectly normal English. It's hilarious, it's like he's felt the need to devolve from a human to an ape and eat fistfuls of bugs in order to fit in at dinner, only to find we're eating Filet Mignon at the dining table with knives and forks.
  20. Thanks @skyfire for letting us know. I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but for a game like this to have mixed reviews on steam is never a good sign. Still, judgement withheld 'till I've played it.
  21. A fair point. Don't get me wrong, I do admire speedrunners and fully acknowledge the effort, patience and skill it takes to do what they do and I suppose it is a new way to play a game, except it kind of isn't. Now that I think about it's a bit of a throwback to the arcade days when high scores were everything. When I say's not what games are for, what I really mean is it's not what modern games are for. Arcade games were designed to be played that way, that was the appeal, but modern games are different. Speedruns don't appeal to me because it's a neglect of all the stuff about games today that I enjoy. Like said, huge kudus and admiration to the people who do this, it's impressive and good for them, but it's not for me to watch or attempt.
