Sorry to hear about that. Hope things are getting better.

My point exactly. To me what makes a JRPG is they style and design of the game, not where it's made.

I'm going to lock this thread and only because @Boblee, you are doing this all wrong. If you feel you have been treated unfairly, then this is NOT the way go about it. You don't "call out" a mod' openly on the public forum, you make a direct complaint to the site admin, that is how it's supposed to be done. Everybody has the right to that I will fully comply with any investigation and/or action @DC feels is necessary. I am here in service to the forum, but that does mean that sometimes I am gonna do or say something without the aim of winning a popularity contest and people will not like it. That's the sacrifice I make, the price I pay, that I can't really be fiends with anyone on this forum. But before I lock this thread, I'm going to make few things clear. First @Boblee, these trends of posting anything just to post something, posting for points, a topic going round in circles with same people posting the same points over and over and posting on a thread between a small group using a thread like it's text chain is hurting the forum. That is what you clearly don't take seriously. And if you had bothered to check the thread I linked to you all to (here it is again), you would know why. I have been engaging with serval people over this issue and that has been a frustrating effort. Just like you have shown here, @Boblee, there has been more passion and diligence form these people in thier defence of thier actions than I ever see them put into the forum itself. If you and others cared even half as much about what you post as you did about "calling out" my actions in response, I guarantee we would not be in this situation. I called out on your attitude because you seemed to find this amusing when it defiantly is not. That attitude along with this thread you created is all the proof I need that only thing you will respond to is force. At least you seem to be taking this seriously now, so I'm actually gonna call this a step in right direction. At @egghead, I actually do feel like I owe you an apology. I did have a look through your post history and I'm ready omit you of any alleged wrongdoing. However, you have to understand how that looked and how serious it potentially could have been. For me though, that's the end of the matter. Just doing my job. Any further discussion on this can keep going on thread I linked earlier.

To be honest, I've seen more interesting rhythm based games. The art style isn't that unique and if what is heard in the trailer is represented of the soundtrack (and that REALLY matters in a game like this) then I'm not exactly impressed. Twin stick controls on a rhythm based game is also a bit off-putting. I've seen side scrollers and eve FPS games that make this work, but I'm just not sure about this. Even at it's best, I wouldn't play this on the Switch. Playing a rhythm based game out and about or on a bus? No thank you.

I'd like to say that I'm creating this topic because I've seen this mentioned here and there on the forum and want to see the discussion on it condensed into a single place, and that is true, but if being honest, I'm also creating this topic to help me understand exactly what this controversy is about. I'm confused because, based on what I've seen, this doesn't look like that big of a deal. Capcom wanting tournament organizers to apply for a licence with an inevitable fee to use the game for e-sports, it's logo's and so on in publication's and promotions, that doesn't sound unreasonable. But I am self aware enough to accept there's probably something I'm missing. What exactly is going on here? Thoughts, feelings and details? The most up to date article I found is this from dot-esports, and whilst there is plenty of info there, but the community is a valuable source I won't ignore. So VGR, let's get into it.

I'm actually gonna give a shout out to our very own @StaceyPowers who wrote a good article on this subject for the VGR website and it's well worth a read. Find the article HERE.

I know these are the usual suspects, but... The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. What more is there to say. It's an icon for a reason. Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. Two of the best games of any kind I've played in years. AC4: Black Flag. Everyone should include thier favourite AC game in a list like this, assuming you like AC of course. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The granddaddy of them all.

I'll probably go with games. Games have can generate a level of connection and immersion that movies can't. Don't get me wrong, movies and TV shows don't have to that, they're all about observing a story and better a lot of the time, but there is nothing like a good game to really suck you in.

Once again, here we are with the same people dancing around in a loop to same points over and over again just to keep the post counts going up. I'm going to keep locking these until you guys learn that these threads are not your personal text chain. Regardless, this thread has run it's course and it's time for it to be locked. And @Boblee, I'm glad you find this and the harm this is doing to the VGR forum funny... ... but one way or another, this is gonna stop. And if you keep up this level of ignorance and disrespect, I'll come up with an answer that I'm sure you won't find funny at all.

My bad.

What do mean the "Lara Croft" version of Tomb Raider? She's always been the protagonist. In every movie and every game. We have talked before about you taking your time and caring about what you post, so tell me how I'm supposed to believe you when you post stuff like that? Just take a few moments to read what you post before you post it, please.

UPDATE: I've decided to do another update. As some of you may have read in this thread here, and I don't know how or when but this issue came about, but Tales of Arise on Steam has some sort of issue that makes using certain controllers impossible. If you do pick this game up on PC with the intention of using a controller, be wary.

What would you like to see added to the forum?
Shagger replied to DC's topic in Questions & Suggestions
They had this on a forum I used to be a part of years ago. The basic layout was actually very similar to what we have here with the profile info of the person, forum handle, role, avatar, number of posts etc on the left with the post itself on the right. I took a snip of one of these profile displays. I've blocked out the information for obvious reasons, I just wanted to give @DC an idea as to how this might look. -
I would not describe WatchMojo as a gaming channel though. They post content about lots of things within entertainment and media.

According to what I've read, uses of Xbox controllers have had issues as well. I don't see a pattern to it unless it's affecting wireless controllers only. The fact is though, if Steam didn't auto disable the the stem input function when launching the game, I wouldn't have this issue. Steam appeared to be disabling the steam input function because of how I have to set the controller application option to get the controller to work at all. I find it hard to believe than Bandai Namco are solely at fault for that.

I'm not a massive fan of the series, but there's no denying that this is an exiting announcement. I just pray that this doesn't turn into another Cyberpunk 2077, and that's a good reason for people to reign in thier excitement a bit. I for one have no clue what to expect from this, but despite the recent past CDPR are a good developer and I'm looking forward to this.

This Erazer Defender P10 Gaming notebook I have; Cost me around £1000, but that is a bit of false economy because the laptop only came with 512GB of storage in the form of an NVME SSD as a boot drive, which is just not enough, so I had to add a 2TD SATA SSD to it, bringing the cost up to around £1200. Watch out for that if you looking into a gaming laptop, a lot of them are like that. Spec's; Processor: Intel Core i7-10750H 2,6GHz (Boost clock at 4GHz) Hard Drive: 512GB SSD (+ the aforementioned additional 2TB SSD) RAM: 16GB DDR4-SDRAM Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (6GB of GDD6 VRAM) 17,3in 1080p Screen with a maximum refresh rate of 144hz, easily sufficient for screen that size and this spec' of GPU. Overall, very happy with it. The difference between a 15,6in screen and a 17,3 may not sound like much, but trust me when I say you really notice it. The laptop is sturdy if a bit large and with more upgradeable options then you might expect. For 1080p gaming, it hasn't let me down yet with most games getting upwards of 50fps at max settings.

I think this generation of gaming will be much better than the last
Shagger replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
I want to be optimistic, but I don't feel like I am. The business practices seem to just get worse with each new generation and I for one am not convinced the games themselves are getting any better. I do feel good about how these new consoles look at improving the gameplay experience with the high speed SSD's and ease of use, but ultimately it's the games that count and I'm not sure we'll really see a marked improvement. -
Do you prefer to download PC Games off the internet or buy the DVD?
Shagger replied to ZandraJoi's topic in Video Games
This is another thread with usual suspects just going round in circles making meaningless repeats of the same things that been said already. Yet more posting anything just to post something, so this locked. -
VGR being Plagiarized (incompetently) by igamenews
Shagger replied to Crazycrab's topic in Forum Games & Fun
Just posting this because I think it's really funny. They are actually copying the spam 😄 https://www.igamesnews.com/forum/threads/top-10-insane-graphics-game-realy-i-say-wow.64441/#post-64702 -
Top 5 video games with the most sales in the last decade?
Shagger replied to Head_Hunter's topic in Gaming Forum
Maybe you're right and I should follow your example because treating people with vitriol and venom just for expressing thier opinion is nothing like you, is it? There is nothing arrogant about stating simple facts, but whatever, I can't be bothered to argue with you. -
Well, the launch of HZD on PC wasn't that bad, and has been fixed. It run's fine on my laptop (16GB RAM, Intel i7 10750h and an RTX 2060).

Top 5 video games with the most sales in the last decade?
Shagger replied to Head_Hunter's topic in Gaming Forum
If one of us look like they are loosing thier temper right, quite frankly it's you. We both know that the backlash I described did happen and we can both recognise that @Heatman was unaware of it and hadn't played the game. I was simply advising him that if he knew he didn't know enough about this it would better to not say anything, or (to expand n that) to some research. We both also know that just because a game sells well doesn't automatically mean a game was well received. That has happened more time than can counted. So might I suggest you calm down. -
The discussion is about gambling and he didn't link or peddle the website, it was just context, so that's fine.

Does gaming usually regulate or dysregulated your mood?
Shagger replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
OK, that's. This another that the crowed who post anything just to post some have ruined by turning it into thier own personal chatroom to shit post about things that are at best barley relevant to topic. This is the exact problem that's being discussed here. Here's the thing @Heatman, @Boblee, @Justin11 and @Head_Hunter, it always you guys. @egghead, for you it's even worse. You keep trying to bring NFT's and crypto into this thread when this thread has nothing to do with that. You even post this twice, I mean the exact same post; This set off alarm bells to me. I'm gonna look further into your post history and I find you've been trying to push this game and/or other crypto scams, you are going to be in a lot of trouble. Whatever the case, I am not allowing this thread to abused further. Locked.
