  1. Sorry, but I'm more on Epic's side here. This is exactly the same thing with Battle Royal, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag gameplay concepts, you can't really own the concept. This "imposters" style gameplay concept is also nothing more than that, a concept. Among Us may have made it popular like how PUBG made battle royal popular, but they can't claim to own a concept that has been in in existence, in one form or another, far longer than Among Us has. For example, people have been putting on "Who Done it?" roleplay parities for centuries. So I'm sorry, but I just don't think Innersloth really have a defence here. I'm quite ready to believe the Epic would never have created this new game mode without being inspired by the success of Among Us, just like how Fortnight likely wouldn't have excised without PUGB, but in the end I don't there is anything Innersloth can do about this.
  2. The first thing, this topic doesn't really belong in "General Gaming" as it has nothing to do with gaming, so moving to "General Chat". Second, I'll reiterate that as long as it's within the rules, people are free to what they want and as often as they want. I'm more in favour of the "quality over quantity" approach when it comes to posting on forums myself, but that doesn't mean that people have to limit themselves. I'd advise, and even have advised, others to not post spuriously and give thier posts some thought, but that in no way limits anyone on how often the make new topics and reply to current ones. The only things I'll ask of people outside of posting within the Forum Rules and Guidelines are; Make sure a topic doesn't already exist before posting it again. There is a search function on the forum to help with that. Post a topic in the appropriate sub-forum. Read a thread before posting a response to better gauge where the conversation is at. As aforementioned, put a little thought into the post, give it relevancy and purpose. Don't post just for the sake of posting and/or to get a number on the tally. If you really want to up you post your post count quickly (a fair goal, especially for new members), the Forum games and Fun-posting can be an easy way to do so without "drowning" other area's of the forum, even though I personally don't see it as "drowning" if the post is relevant, but I digress. And to anyone else concerned about topics getting bumped down, remember there's always the option to follow topics.
  3. What I have seen of Bioware (Mass Effect, Dragonage), they seem to handle this idea pretty well. It's never a clear definitive of good and bad or right and wrong, it's always a more complex moral controversy. It's up to the player to weigh everything up and make a decision or compromise based upon what all parties have said there's not really a perfect answer or outcome to please everyone, much like in real life.
  4. Can we possibly have some examples of what your on about?
  5. I don't care that the game sucks, Final Fantasy XIII has some of the most unique and memorable enemy designs I've seen in a game.
  6. I wont post any images for reasons explained in this thread, but I'll agree with @StaceyPowers, the clickers in TLOU have got to be some of the most creepy things to ever be bitrthed out of the imagination of a human being. The worst thing about the infected in the TLOU is that it's not something made up like the "zombie virus" of whatever most of such things in fiction are based on. The infected in TLOU are based on a real world infection called Cordyceps and puts an extra creepy, realistic spin on the traditional "zombie".

    GTA 6

Yeah, leaks can be real from time to time, but what you have to remember is that the basic information like a games release window is only guaranteed from one source, the official one, so why bother risking putting faith in leaked information when you'll have to wait for it to be confirmed by the official source anyway? It's completely pointless and will almost always just set yourself up to be disappointed. Imagine it's pouring down with rain and, according to the official timetable, it'll be half an hour until your bus comes. However, somebody not affiliated with the bus company promises you that if you abandon the safe, dry shelter you're sitting in and go wait at the stop you will get a bus sooner, but you'll have to stand in the rain otherwise you'll miss it. So what do you do, trust the dodgy individual that's provided a tip you can't verify and risk getting soaked in the slim hope he's not trolling you or trust the actual information from the credible source even though it means you have to wait a little longer. Me? I'd wait, and so would anyone with even a shred of common sense. Another thing that makes the situation different with RDR2s map is when that happened, the game itself was at least confirmed and people weren't literally turning praying on the hopes of fans into money making schemes, like people are doing with GTA6, especially on YouTube. That creates an element of danger to following rumours about GTA6 that I've never seen from any other game, so people have to be more carful. Not to mention if half the rumours that have come out were true the game would have been out by now, so why people keep trusting these rumours is beyond me.
  8. I dunno, can apps like Discord run at the same time as a game on mobile? I know the Discord app on mobile is really good, but I've never tried to voice chat with it whilst it's running in the background on a phone or tablet.
  9. That's a rich statement coming from someone who considers game developers making female characters too ugly to meet your standards some sort of social/political statement. From your review of Terminator: Resistance you posted on the forum earlier today.

    GTA 6

I fell like I've been a tape recording on loop for at least half a decade saying the same thing I'm about to say now. Ignore anything you hear about GTA6 that doesn't come from Rockstar and/or Take Two themselves. The amount of forum posts, articles, social media posts and YouTube videos (People have made successful YouTube channels by faking news about this game) that exist as clickbait to get traction through this game that hasn't even been confirmed to be in development is almost as amazing as the sheer amount of people who keep falling for it. Advice not just to @Heatman, but anyone else who is fortunate enough to read this, because it will change your life. Ignore this crap. This game does not a release date, it doesn't have a release window, it does not have a protagonist, it does not have a setting, it doesn't even exist at all until Rockstar Games or Take Two Interactive says it does. Any "news" on GTA6 from any other source is not credible, and the sooner you all stop enslaving yourselves to this clickbait, the better it will be for your mental health.
  11. My concern isn't which animal i might survive being attacked by, because I honestly don't think I have a chance against either of them. So I shift to what happens after the attack, so that's why I go with the wolf. A wolf would probably just simply eat me, but a bear is less predictable. I might shit on my face, or use my body to "ease the tension" if you know what I mean, regardless it'll probably be less dignified than being eaten.
  12. They consider old video game soundtracks to be a major inspiration, and you can here it in thier music. The last album though the went all out on the gaming theme. And here they are on tour with that album (The other band on stage here was thier main support band on that tour Lovebites, who are fantastic, btw, and one of my favourite band atm)
  13. I don't know about the DualSence, but when that happens with the Dualshock 4, it means the battery is bully charged and so can't take in any more juice, thus breaking the connection.
  14. I swear, Epic are deliberately trying to piss me off! This is the third time in the space of 24 hours I've updated this thread because the preview of upcoming and current games keeps changing 🤬.
  15. The new one from Sabaton. Me like.
  16. I've actually decided to lock this thread until @killamch89 DM's me to better explain what the topic is about. That's now four people replied clearly unsure as to exactly what the topic really is. There's no point on trying to discuss this as a community when the subject itself in unclear. So @killamch89, message me as soon as you can so we can determine exactly what the topic is, then I'll edit the topic to make it easier to understand then re-open it.
  17. I'm also confused. Poker is a gambling game. It's also a game of strategy and deception, but a gambling game none the less. So playing poker is utilizing it to win at gambling, so I'm not sure that you mean.
  18. To me, a progressive is someone who believes in social progress (hence the name). Someone who believes in principles and a social ideology that's forward thinking, looking to the future rather than standing firm with old ideals and maintaining the status quo. Ideals not built on religion, but science for example.
  19. Good to know the release date. I'm not surprised nor particularly bothered by the coming out later than expected. I've spoken before about how it's a serious and mostly unspoken problem for game companies to announce release dates too early to greedily cash in on pre-orders before they know the game will be ready on time. With pre-orders for this starting in the beginning of September, around 5-6 months before the planned release date, Id say that's a fair balance. That's obviously not a guarantee that the game will come out polished and not be delayed again, but you can say Guerrilla are opening up pre-orders with enough certainty 5 months before launch.
  20. My old mouse is actually quite similar to that. I'd have to see the full specks and button placement to have some idea of what it might be like to use, but the design allows for a compact, very stiff chassis and low centre of gravity without adding much weight, so there is a practical aspect to the deign. Yes, the looks are not subtle, using that in an office you may as well wear of COD cap and drink out your coffee out of a novelty gaming mug, it would be that embarrassing.
  21. Wow, that is pretty bad. Did they give any logical reason for this? Not that it would be a valid excuse, I'm just curious if they tried.
  22. This is actually spot on. The game is called Grand Theft Auto, its literally named after a crime. So for people to get all shocked and shaken when you roleplay as somebody, minority or not, doing crime is a classic case of reading too much into it. Whether or not Rockstar handled race well in thier games is open to debate, I honestly wouldn't be one to know. I think the vast majority of players take the characters in GTA games as individuals like the way you said about the "white" criminals and people looking at GTA and any prejudiced overtones it may have are looking at the portal of the characters as individuals and are free to judge for themselves. I do think some of the characters and gang member NPC's, especially in some of the earlier GTA games, are kind of stereotypical, but to call it flat out racist is a bit of a stretch.
  23. It's ironic after all this talk about mirrors that you think you're writing about me, when you just written a perfect description about yourself. I know how smart you are and I know what you trying to do, get under my skin, but it won't work. Now, as a mod, I'm telling you get back on topic.
  24. Nobody "went" digital on PC as if we, the gamers, had a choice. The platform itself abandoned physical games what had to well over a decade ago.
