VGR being Plagiarized (incompetently) by igamenews
Crazycrab replied to Crazycrab's topic in Forum Games & Fun
This just keeps getting better and better, I've now found a featured thread that is plagiarized from the first paragraph of an article from https://www.actualidadiphone.com! This is streight up breaking the law now! Original: https://www.actualidadiphone.com/en/how-to-unlock-your-iphone-with-a-mask-and-an-apple-watch/amp/ Igamenews: https://www.igamesnews.com/forum/threads/how-to-unlock-your-iphone-with-a-mask-and-an-apple-watch.25415/ -
This might not be a popular opinion but, I actually kinda like E3. I know it's wasteful and kinda pointless today but I enjoyed that big stage shows, the major announcements, the rumours and even laughing at the cringe (especially when it's Ubisoft that take the stage). It has given us so some cool moments over the years, like when Sony announced that they won't be that DRM bullshit that Microsoft had announced on their console at the time:

VGR being Plagiarized (incompetently) by igamenews
Crazycrab replied to Crazycrab's topic in Forum Games & Fun
It's definitely worth looking into. I have just found an user on this forum who is DEFINITELY plagiarizing movie reviews and articles from http://filmfestivals.com: Original: https://www.filmfestivals.com/blog/siraj_syed/attack_part_1_review_dawn_of_a_new_ira igamenews: https://www.igamesnews.com/forum/threads/attack-part-1-review-dawn-of-a-new-ira.64198/ Original, different writer: https://www.filmfestivals.com/blog/quendrith_johnson/top_gun_maverick_or_adrenaline_on_tap_right_now_watch igamenews, same user: https://www.igamesnews.com/forum/threads/top-gun-maverick-or-adrenaline-on-tap-right-now-watch.64151/ -

Name A Country Without The Letter "A" In It
Crazycrab replied to The Blackangel's topic in Forum Games & Fun
Isn't that a state, not a country? -
NotFirst of all, full credit to @Heatman for bringing this to our attention in THIS thread. The moderators did mention that if we want to continue to discuss it we should post a separate thread at that let that one back on topic so that's what I'm doing. I've had my own peruse the content of Igamenews and the sheer lack of shame from these hacks is beyond belief! Not only in reckoning is at least 80% of the posts Plagiarized from us here but it's done so poorly it's like their not even trying to hide it. For example almost every "VGR Member of the Month" has been copied (including the latest one) without the poll, votes or even altering the title! As @Shagger point out, even the mods are at it! I've discovered that it's not just us being plagiarized either. Check this out! https://www.igamesnews.com/forum/threads/legend-of-the-galactic-heroes-die-neue-these-collision-episode-27-a-stormy-night.64197/ https://www.crunchyroll.com/en-gb/legend-of-the-galactic-heroes-die-neue-these/episode-27-a-stormy-night-840848 They just took the tite from Crunchyroll and posted it with the initial screenshot from the episode!

Games that end with more questions than answers
Crazycrab replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Metal Gear Solid 2 certainly counts. It's one of the most rushed, convoluted and confusing endings ever and not just in gaming. literally the very least spoken words are Solid Snake responding to it with a very confused "What the hell!?" -
Movies or video games which one you love more?
Crazycrab replied to Justin11's topic in Gaming Forum
I don't really watch that many movies now, if it's watching something it's usually a series or something on YouTube. So yeah, I'd probably put video games over movies. -
I think it is complete now but I don't how how or even if it's available to the public.

Mention the top 5 most expensive game ever produced?
Crazycrab replied to Head_Hunter's topic in Gaming Forum
I'm not sure if it really counts since it's a scam that will never get out of alpha, but I don't think we can have a conversation about expensive games without mentioning it. As if now Star Citizen has raised $446 million and counting. It will almost certainly go past the half a billion mark later this year. -
There is an unofficial PC port called Ship or Harkinian but you will need to provide you own OOT ROM. More details HERE. There is also a full unofficial fan remake of the game in Unreal Engine, but I'm not 100% sure how or where to get it. I'll keep looking into it.

I'd say Horizon II Forbidden West is the best game I've played this year so far.

That's not true. According to statista 50% of rural America doesn't have internet access. In some parts of the world this disparity is even higher.

You could not be more wrong. If we as a civilization or even just individuals don't learn about past mistakes then we would be doomed to repeat them. Imagine a situation where we weren't allowed to learn anything about World War 2, if a whole generation were not aware of the sequence of events that lead to an openly anti-democratic and anti-semitic extremist rising to power. It would happen again because they would know what signs to look for. The idea that the fight for civil rights, woman's rights, the slave trade among other things should be "left alone" is ludicrous. I don't give a shit if it makes anybody "uncomfortable". It's important for these to be recognised for what they are which is a part of history. The people who pushing for this kind of censorship are doing so to cover up the parts of history that paint their ancestors, religion, ethnicity or whatever in a manner that is let's say, "unflattering". It may be that these facts work against some legislation that they are pushing or maybe their just embarrassed by it. Either way it's pathetic.

As of right now Paramount have no plans to do an HD remaster of Star Trek Deep Space 9 or Voyager with the excuse that it would be to costly to re-scan the original film and remake all the CGI sequences. They did do this with The Next Generation bit it seems that they don't consider these other two shows to be worth the effort. However, for the last couple or years one man by the name of Joel Hruska has been working on it alone in his spare time sourcing from the DVD's and it is absolutely stunning! Star Trek Deep Space 9 intro: Original Star Trek Deep Space 9 intro: Remastered (make sure to watch in HD 1080p or higher) Here's a clip from Voyager (it is from the finale so minor spoiler warning). He has no intentions of distributing this illegally, he just wanted to prove that that the expensive processs of rescanning film and re-doing visual effects isn't necessary for older TV shows and hopefully Paramount will see his work and publish it. So what do you think, what older TV shows can you think of that deserve a fresh coat of paint? Source Article: https://www.giantfreakinrobot.com/ent/star-trek-ds9-voayger-unofficial-remaster.html

I don't claim to know for sure myself. What has been proven is that when transitioning from male to female through hormone treatments estrogen goes up and testosterone goes down. This does effect performance, even if there is no other physical change to the body. Wether that change is significant enough to neutralise any advantage the athlete might have had before is what's up for debate. Right now we don't have enough data to draw any definite answers. Well it seems steroid use was pretty common in pro wrestling back then, I think way more than the people running WWE, WCW and so on would ever admit.

What games do you consider to be a masterpiece?
Crazycrab replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
Here's a shortlist of what I consider masterpieces. I'll a quick shout out to Castlevainia 4 and the original Zelda based on their reputation but I haven't played them myself so I can't really say. The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater The last of Us The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Final Fantasy X Burnout 3: Takedown -
Pretty much every breed of dog was originally bred to track and/or hunt. From Dobermans and Pitbulls to Poodles and Chihuahuas. The Poodle, for example was originally breed to hunt waterfowl birds like ducks and geese. So they all have natural aggressive tendencies. I don't completely disagree with you though, I personally wouldn't have ANY breed of dog around young children. Babies and toddlers might have tendency to aggravate a dog without realising like pulling their pur, mucking around with their food or bothering them when their trying to eat and they may bite back.

Well yeah, that's exactly what I would assume. Who one votes for is just one aspect to a person's personality profile and a small one at that.

I loved the first game but Before the Storm was TERRIBLE! It felt more like an amateur fan-fiction than a legitimate prequel. The voice acting was awful, many of the choices had zero tension if you played the first game and the writing particularly in the third episode was embarrassing. In the first game they built up Rachel as this great person but she turned out to be a self-serving bitch!

The Discord server is something that we should have done ages ago. Not only it would saved all this shitposting but we could set up online community to play online Gaming sessions in online games. @DC there are plenty of online games that as a community we could partake There's even single player (or at least internal forum) possibilities like Gwent, or Machine Strike (Horizon Forbidden West). Then scoreboards for achievements and trophies.
