ZandraJoi
Either a whole-home or a portable one? We have a portable one but we are getting a whole-home. We lose power more here than our last house & it’s worth the investment. I don’t feel comfortable with our portable one so my husband would have to come home to start it up. Not to mention having to pick & choose what you can run. A few years ago we lost power for near a day in an Arctic Blast. It got extremely cold in our house. After that, we looked into & saved up for a whole-home one.
The Blackangel
I have a Celestron Power Tank, but I only have it to run my telescope. It can power several things and even be used to jump a vehicle, but I don't use it for any of that. Just my telescope. It's technically not a generator, but it does provide power when it's charged. killamch89
My apartment complex has a back-up generator and it's a blessing. I have power all the time so I hardly ever have to worry about outages. In addition to that, I have a UPS for my computer area so just in case the complex generator ever runs out of juice, I have that as a backup. Empire
Nope, we in the UK do not get power cuts that often and if it does might only happen once or more a year. Thinks to lines under the ground and just as safe. Back in Ozz where I came from powerlines are flying and always have tress falling on them and cuts a the normal thing. I used to live out in the farming and seen and had generator back 10 years ago.
killamch89
When I buy a house, I'm definitely going to get a generator because I always work from home so I need power. Time lost = Earnings lost.
