killamch89
It has been a whirlwind 48 hours as the European Super League was announced by 12 teams, 6 from the Premiership, 3 from La Liga and 3 From Italy. Bayern and PSG were invited but they had declined. However, following a united backlash from the fans of said 12 teams, 8 of the 12 teams have pulled out and people are resigning left and right. The primary motive for this move in the first place was money but they didn't have any proper plans and it was ultimately a bunch of mainly US owners who tried to monopolize European football and failed miserably because football fans made football what it is. Their voice is bigger than anything else in the sport. Interestingly, it's the first time I've seen so many fanbases come together and protested everywhere. What did you think of this whole scenario? killamch89
Just as an update 9 of the 12 teams have pulled out of the competition with Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid still planning to push forward with the Super League but Uefa is looking into ways of sanctioning them. Head_Hunter
It's been scrapped and it wouldn't surface anymore, it would've killed the UCL competition off, that's not what UEFA planned for.
