DylanC
I sometimes like grinding in video games. It can be relaxing when it's done right. How do you feel about grinding in games? https://twinfinite.net/2021/05/5-addictive-games-worth-the-grind-no-matter-the-frustration/
Patrik
if it's an online game, then yeah, it's so much fun and chilling, but offline games sort of get boring when you are playing them non stop, especially on PC
Empire
I've always loved grinding. I love feeling overleveled. In crafting systems I just like seeing a fat stack of materials I made. I like watching numbers go up. In WoW that translated to playing the auction house. In Final Fantasy X that meant hours of random battles. I think I've spent 20 hours alone fishing in Stardew Valley. My point is that any game can be turned into a grind. And very few games require grinding. It seems like a lot of people in this conversation feel a pull between what the consumer will expect from a game, and what games require of the consumer. killamch89
I agree that if it's done correctly, it can be fun and relaxing part of the game. The trouble with most games over the last decade is they overdo it to the point of being tiresome and time-consuming.
