How long can you go without playing a game before you forget all the controls?

How long a break can you take from a game before you start forgetting controls? I start getting hazy around 1.5 months, but it takes much longer to forget completely.

It takes years for me and I'm talking like probably a decade before I completely forget the controls and the minute I start playing again, I instantly remember.

I don't mean to brag, but I never forgot the basic controls of a game I care about.  There may be some strange detail I'll never learn, but most people may not learn that trick either.

Haha. Not with me. When I played PUBG before it was ban, that time my hands were quite set with the controls. But after a whole year, when ban was lifted and I played for the first time, I was not able to get the tempo like before. Though, I did remember the controls, but that crispiness was no more. 😆

That is why I only play on PC for the most part and set all controls similarly.

On console I forget the controls mid game, because of muscle memory from another game I played. It's awful and thus I avoid playing games on console whenever possible.

It's the same for me for the most part. Once I start playing them again, it's like I never stopped playing it.

Personally, my forgetfulness kicks in at least from 1 year upwards. How can I remember the controls after one year, I'm not a robot 😂.
