I'm being admitted to hospital tomorrow for some minor surgery on Wednesday. More specifically, a renal (kidney) biopsy. For the past 6 months or so, traces of blood and protine have been found in my urine indicating a kidney problem. The biopsy is being done to try and definitively diagnose the problem. If all goes well, I should be back home Wednesday evening. Again, try not to worry, and because the operation will be done under general anesthetic meaning I'll be awake), I might find myself with some more time to hang around on VGR than I've had in recent weeks as I recover. So I'm looking forward to that and to generally taking it easy over the next week. That's sad tp ear. Hopefully, you recover quickly - kidney issues are serious stuff. One of my aunts had renal failure last year and died because she never tried to seek help until it had gotten too advanced.

I'm still is a bit of discomfort after the procedure, but im otherwise OK. Just need to wait for the results of the tests.

I have been diagnosed with a kidney illness. I won't post the name of the condition because I know people will ask Dr Internet about it and likely get wmerronous information about it, but I can assure you it's not something to be concerned about as it can be controlled with medication. There is currently no risk of needing dialysis nor a tranplant and it won't affect my day to day life. It just needs monitored.

If you say it's nothing serious and won't affect your day to day life, then that's the best outcome given the situation.
