What are some non-obvious ways that games could be a vehicle for social change?

This is a tough one but games like Deus Ex Mankind Divided shows us the prejudice between different sects of society due to their beliefs and that prejudice against a group of people because they're different only breeds hate and that will only lead to the downfall of that society.

Prejudice plots downfall of any society of organisation. If a nation truly wants to take it higher then they should eradicate feelings of prejudice and divided mindset work as one in unity and harmony, that's exactly what I've learned in Deus Ex video game.

If something is used for good, it's also used for bad. If you needed something non-obvious to work, it would have to be repeated over and over in different games and medium for it to work. That is exactly what has been done in demonizing certain groups of people over the years in all entertainment until it has sunk in so deep into their subconscious that it becomes societal and nothing can break it when confronted because they can't even realize something they can't consciously see.

Agreed - All prejudice does is keep the cycle of hate going and it'll be a never-ending battle.

That's bizarre indeed, because the prejudice have really created divided minds on planet earth. And it wouldn't be easy to get rid of them due to the fact we are living in a world full of imperfections. The game really capture the reality happenings, its worth a game indeed.
