Billiard Games

I love to play billiards, commonly known as pool, so I suppose I'd like those kind of games.  Who has played any?  Do you use it to improve your off-line game?  What are the best billiard games or ones you own?  Have you played online?   Are you good at this niche?  What achievements?

I think given the OP's content and because this was posted to general gaming, we can take this thread as a thread about video games based off cue sports and the thread you mentioned, as part of general chat, as a thread dedicated to real life cue sports. Thanks for pointing that out though as I feel it was important to make that distinction.

I used to play one back in the days but I just can't quite remember the name. I used to love playing pool as a teen and was one of my favorite hobbies.

I have only played something like that on my smartphone a very long time ago and it's not something that I fancy that much.

Cut Throat. Great for 3 people, especially when on different skill levels. The rules are simple: it's 3 person reverse 8-ball, with no 8-ball.
