StaceyPowers
What are some games that in general you think are very well-designed, but which feature one or more terrible design flaws that make the whole thing worse?

Kane99
I can't think of anything to be honest. I figure that there was a slew of games with horrible problems, and broken code. I don't know of any games where the design caused issues. Maybe sometimes when a game puts an obstacle that looks like you can get through. Just looks lazy imo. Boblee
I think that the new Contra game was terribly designed even though it looked like a good upgrade from what we used to know.
Scorpion
"Fallout 76" has great world-building but suffers from bugs and connectivity issues. "The Last of Us Part II" faces pacing problems.
killamch89
The stamina system in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild comes to mind. While the game is breathtaking and innovative, the stamina mechanic can feel punishing at times, especially early on when you're limited. It creates moments of frustration when you can’t climb a wall or cross a body of water, breaking the flow of exploration in an otherwise fantastic game.
