Heatman
These companies live for the money now and it's why we some some good old game's titles get swept under the rug with new one's that's money driven.
Head_Hunter
Remember, we have options to choose if we truly need need their game. If you feel that they are money mongers, you can just stay off from them that's just the case. I can't spend more than I planned to spend on a particular video game. Heatman
It's not even about spending more money on the game but about how good the game gets over a period of time in order for it to be worth the hassle.
Head_Hunter
You don't need to rush in with any of the games, you can base on recommendations, that's what I do most of the times and not forcing in with any video game that pops up online.
Justin11
Next generation of video games will look more better if the developers don't run it down with lots of micro chips, micro-transactions that's what I mean, that involves paying for any item in-game. Heatman
Microtransactions have come to stay with video games till the end of the world as long as video games are still being developed. They are never letting it go.
Shagger
I want to be optimistic, but I don't feel like I am. The business practices seem to just get worse with each new generation and I for one am not convinced the games themselves are getting any better. I do feel good about how these new consoles look at improving the gameplay experience with the high speed SSD's and ease of use, but ultimately it's the games that count and I'm not sure we'll really see a marked improvement. Every game developer that were in my good books have now been completely crossed off. Rockstar adding a subscription model to GTA online even though people already paid for the game, CDPR with the Cyberpunk fiasco, Capcom says you'll need a license to hold Street Fighter V tournaments, Nintendo just taking the fun out of everything. At the rate things are going, government regulation might gain some popularity and I hate when the government intervenes in anything.
Darth
I guess every new generation will be better than the last due to the upgrades they bring. But yeah, I can't wait to see what developers have in store for us now that they can take advantage of the PS5 and the Series X. Hopefully developers stop making games for the old generation consoles so that they don't hold back the games.
Justin11
Those new rules from Capcom, Rockstar are just to make extra money from their games. I wonder what you need a license for when it comes to playing video games online or entering into to an online tournaments in street fighter. It's only a little percentage of their games that meets the requirements or standards that's expected of it. Take for instance, Horizon Forbidden West, it's been ages we saw a game as good as that. Justin11
I hate it when video games rules are too monopoly, just benefiting them alone and not those playing their games. That's the reason I love playing mostly racing games, no much micro-transactions in them.
Head_Hunter
Their are other good game genres to play and have fun playing them. I do test my hands on open world games, like, GTAs, RDR-2, Minecraft, Spiderman etc.
Justin11
Only the future will tell, at the moment I'm enjoying the video game options at my disposal, I am ready to get supercross 5 racing game, which was released recently on 17th march.

It's the expected pattern that should take place but in reality, there are some of the upgrades that aren't worth it which puts some of the old generation games in a better footing.
