Jayson
When we are kids, we are taught to share. However, modern American society isn't so accepting of this - especially in a lot of conservative circles. Well, some conservatives might support private sharing, but they are fanatically against what they call "wealth redistribution". Anyway, technology has made sharing way more prevalent these days. Tons of people, including conservatives, enjoy open-source forum/blog software and other things.
Reality vs Adventure
A big issue that comes to my mind and sharing is how a lot of times minorities can't get houses because they are least likely to get approved of loans from banks, real estate are less likely to sell them a house in certain districts. Because if they get housing in rural or suburban counties, it will mess up racist gerrymandering lines which are purposely drawn by republicans to leave out ethnic minority votes. If minorities move into those districts, it would give them stronger voting representation that republicans are completely against. The AFFH, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, was put in place from Obama as part of the 1968 Fair Housing Act to help fight against housing discrimination, and Trump immediately went and removed it when he was in office. Republicans also believe in trickle down policy, where they keep protecting the wealthy in hopes that the wealthy will share, which never happens. Job discrimination and the fact that there are very little non white, non female top corporate positions, and very little non white, female top government positions, all have an impact on wealth distribution which always provide bare minimum funding if any to certain communities. For example, Biden was forced to drop some things from the infrastructure bill that would help some less privileged communities because republicans simply have racist backbones and absolutely will not pass anything that helps minorities, unless of course there is a big package that further helps their greed and corporate power. The wealth distribution of bailout money under trump unproportionately helped his favorable causes compared to other companies. Even farming bailouts from Covid as well as the failed China trade war were again unproportionately given to white farmers instead of black farmers. Granted, there are a lot more white farmers, but many black farmers currently never received funding. Biden passed a bailout package to help black farmers, and the white farmers sued the administration saying the bill was racist because it was going to black farmers, so the funding got squashed. The black farmers should have sued the trump administration when he left them out of bailouts. But improper wealth distribution is a part of systemic oppression and government/corporate interests taking priority over the interests of the common people. I doubt if much racial discrimination exists. It's more class discrimination these days - and certain groups have a lot of poor people within them. The Blackangel
In terms of bigotry, there is more racism than anything else. Classism, isn't even close. Whites hate blacks. Blacks hate whites. Whites hate Asians. Asians hate whites. Native Americans hate whites. Whites hate Native Americans. There is always some long time memory of an event. Whites are the biggest bigots in America today. None are an exception. We are all prejudice against someone. And don't kid yourself. You are prejudice. You may not fully realize it, but you are. All white people are. I'm no exception. There is a certain demographic that I want to see wiped off the planet and forgotten. That's never going to happen, but we all hate someone. Just ask someone you know about their thoughts on interracial marriage.

Actually, most Americans approve of interracial marriage. Of course, some large sub-groups hate it like African-American women who resent whites taking their men etc. Anyway, I see mixed couples and mixed kids all the time. Nobody is making a fuss about it and this is southern Appalachia. On 3/9/2022 at 10:57 AM, The Blackangel said: Whites hate blacks. Blacks hate whites. Whites hate Asians. Asians hate whites. Anyway, if you know how to deal with things correctly, you can avoid a lot of racial conflict.
