StaceyPowers
So many times when I am playing big open world games, I find that I don’t have a clue who gave me the miscellaneous little side quests or why by the time I do them. Do others fare better at remembering this stuff?
Reality vs Adventure
Yeah that happens a lot to me because I don’t do the quest right away if the distance is far. I don’t like getting pushed out into the map, cause then I run into all sorts of other things that add more quests.
Yaramaki
It all depends on how interesting or boring the side quest is. Usually i have a pretty good memory if i'm really into a game. Usually i try to stick with one area at a time and move on from there like with assasins creed games, i do all the stuff in one region and then move on to the next region. Boring side quests : collecing 100 flags in assasins creed 2, you just remember that because it was so time wasting Interesting side quests : insert any witcher 3 side quest in here , because let's face it all the side quests were epic in their own right. Heatman
If it's a boring side quest, I don't really think that it's something that would worry my mind to keep remembering it. It's the nature of the side quests that makes it matter for me.
Scorpion
Not usually! Those side quests can blur together over time, making it hard to recall specifics without a refresher.
killamch89
I tend to remember side quests better if there’s a unique or interesting narrative to them, but otherwise they just kind of blend into the background. Some games do a great job of tying them back to the main story, which helps me stay invested.
