StaceyPowers
I was laughing last night when I realized a DA: Origins DLC I replayed forgot completely to conclude the stories of the temporary party members. What are some other games that drop major plot points and provide no resolution?
Kane99
Honestly not sure. I'm not one to usually catch plot holes unless they're plain and easily visible. Most games if I don't know what's going on, I just don't pay attention to the story that much and instead just try to have fun with the gameplay. I wish I could think of something that had plot holes in it, but I'm drawing a blank.
Heatman
How about in Mass Effect 2 with the drop of Dark Energy for the reapers in the game? Part of this was probably as a result of one of lead writers in the game Drew Karpyshyn dropping off from the franchise and leaving everything for Mac Walters to tidy up. A lot of plot point was left out in the subsequent release of the game which the Dark Energy was cut out in the ME 3. Also the human reaper, the final boss from ME 2 was dropped in ME 3. Scorpion
That's funny! Many games, like Final Fantasy XV and Assassin's Creed, leave major plot points unresolved. It can be frustrating!
killamch89
Oh, I totally get what you mean. Games dropping plot points can be so frustrating. One that comes to mind is Mass Effect 3 and how it left so many open-ended storylines for the squadmates. They even had to add extra content to explain some of it! Another one would be Fallout 4, where certain character arcs and endings felt underdeveloped despite the hype.
