This is very true. In most cases they look at how much different features are being used and when they see a decline in a feature such as split screen they will just take it away even though there may be a small minority of people who still use the split screen feature and love to use it. I know Epic Games tried split screen with Fortnite and as much as that was a good thing to try, it never really worked I felt just because of how confusing it made the game. Many games now prioritize online play over local co-op. *Halo Infinite*'s decision to drop split-screen shows a troubling trend. I hope developers reconsider, as split-screen adds a fun, social element to gaming. There’s still a chance for its return, but it feels like a diminishing option.
