In terms of people I've actually known in person, my first-year calculus professor in college. He challenged my world view and had a lasting impact on my life even though we only talked a handful of times. If I am permitted to do something about the hot or cold, I'll go with cold, since I can layer up and get more comfortable. You can't really layer down past your skin when it's too hot. It's a tie between Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid and Kratos from the God Of War because both are extremely brave and fearless warriors who will fight to the death and they are pretty good at taking out whole armies.
