Kane99
It almost seems like every time Rockstar has something planned, someone from the inside decides to leak a trailer or leak actual gameplay like what happened a while back with GTA VI. And even before the official release trailer dropped, we got a leak for the trailer the night or two before. So, Rockstar had to do some damage control and released the trailer the night before it was supposed to unveil. I know most studios and companies have dealt with leaks before, but with Rockstar it feels a bit excessive, don't you think? They must have a lot of people working for them who just don't care, or maybe disgruntled employees. It's especially crazy as it was reported recently that a son of a Rockstar employee was rumored to have leaked the trailer. You can read about that below. https://www.businessinsider.com/gta-6-leaks-may-have-come-from-rockstar-employees-kid-2023-12 Edited December 7, 2023 by Kane99
Shortie
It seems there was a lot of leaks before the trailer was officially released by Rockstar Games which was a shame especially with the hype they had built up for it to be ruined like that. It's a shame that it seems to be insiders of the developer that are doing this because waiting it out and releasing it as planned would have had a better impact I believe. Unfortunately, some will always leak things if they are looking for clout and exposure.
Debashis
Rockstar's frequent leaks may be attributed to their high-profile releases and the intense anticipation surrounding their games. Internal issues within the company could also play a role. Regardless, leaks can complicate marketing plans and require damage control.
Heatman
There's no leak that happens without it being an inside job. It's very unfortunate this can't be stopped completely. Those who are doing it are making money from it one way or another. It's why they will keep doing it.
Scorpion
Rockstar leaks seem rampant! It's wild how close-knit these teams are yet so much info slips out. Disgruntled employees, maybe?
