The game is very simple, you select an item from the right panel and combine them to other items to make new items that can be used in further crafting. For example, combining dust and water created mud, combining earth and fire makes lava, etc. I'm probably doing a horrible job explaining it, but here's a video showing exactly what you do, you don't have to watch the whole thing, you should get the idea fairly quickly.
