Borderlands 4 May Have Been Teased by Gearbox CEO or could it be something else?

I believe we'll get a new Borderlands game eventually. Whether it be called Borderlands 4, or go with a completely different title to establish a new trilogy, I am willing to bet Gearbox has a roadmap where Borderlands is part of their lives for the next 10-20 years. This franchise can expand off into spin-offs as well, which with Gearbox behind the development, I think fans will flock to it. 

CEO Randy Pitchford has recently brought up news about a mystery project he is doing, saying it could will surpass past Gearbox accomplishments. Fans are thinking this next big game will be Borderlands 4, or a new game in the Borderlands universe. Or could they be going back into their catalog for their next project? Could it be a completely new IP even?
