Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra

Recommended Posts

A new Marvel game was revealed during Epic Games Unreal Showcase at GDC and it's being helmed by Amy Hennig's studio Skydance New Media. It will be called Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, and will be set during WWII in occupied Paris. You can play up to four players, those being: Captain America, T'Challa's grandfather Azzuri (the Black Panther of that era), US soldier and Howling Commandos member Gabriel Jones and Wakandan spy Nanali. Check out the reveal trailer below.

Eh - it's okay, I guess. The plot seems somewhat decent but I have to see some actual gameplay footage before it can sway me. I'm extremely skeptical when it comes to superhero games and that's because majority of them are subpar.

The Marvel game set in WWII is so unique because I can see some twist right there. What makes it more intriguing is the fact that we can play up to four players and each will have their own unique skills and abilities. This is quite compelling.

I probably have said this on many other threads but I tend to keep my expectations low when it comes to Superhero games because they usually tend to disappoint. Outside of the few exceptions like Arkham Series, Miles Morales Spiderman and couple others, most Superhero games tend to be massive flops.

I sincerely understand your skepticism. Superhero games can be hit or miss, but the involvement of Amy Hennig's is what gives me hope. She's really good at her work.

I'm so much excited by the co-op aspect of the game, because this allow up to four players to team up which is impressive. The reveal trailer looks very promising to me , and I'm excited to see how it goes.
