This act have affected them in so many ways and including on their social lives. A lot of them don't know how to socialise with people in the real world outside gaming.

Not at all - I'm perfectly able to cope in the real world when it comes to interacting with real people and have no problems in doing so. I wouldn't say that I've ever been a social person but I do know how to socialize.

If anything I will say it has made it better. I have friends today that what we mostly talk about for fun is the games we play. It elevates my social life.

I have equally made good friends from playing video games. Friends from other parts of the world but we are so close through the games like we are within close distance. My gaming experience have been fantastic.

Personally,  I believe that it is all about finding a balance. I want to play games and as well as be able to meet new and old friends. I go to the parks as well. I believe that gaming can affect one's social life when you get too addicted to playing games instead.

Sometimes I think it's good to step away and 'detox' yourself from gaming.  I've met some great online acquaintances, but over time, we've lost touch or they've stopped playing the same game, which is sad, and I always come back to my real world friends who are always there for me 🙂

Yes, and there are players that you have not seen too and probably won’t see. When I play online I chat with them and we banter ourselves. I also have those that I play multiplayer with physically. It makes me associate with those that have the same interest as me.

I wouldn't say that gaming has affected my social life at all. I have always been someone who has suffered from social anxiety and being around people and interacting with them always made me nervous and really anxious.

Gaming has helped to give me a social life without the need to be around people but to also be in control so that on the days where I know I will not be able to socialize, I can hide away so to speak.

As long as a follower gamer whom I play online with treats me with respect, I'll return the same energy to him or her as well. If it's possible for us to hook up and meet in real life, I'll always be open to it.

This is exactly how I am going to behave as well. I have met a couple of friends that I play some games offline, and we chat over a bottle of beer. Life is too short to be toxic towards some of the people that we have met in life.

Some people don't actually understand what it means to have fun with playing video game and is the reason why they go at it in a way they will antagonise others and make life miserable for them.

There are couple of toxic communities in the gaming space and there is nothing anyone is going to do about it. Some play games just to transfer aggression and that is why we have some people who wouldn't want to have anything to do with an online game.

This is why I try as much as possible to avoid being involved in such gaming communities because there is no way I wouldn't get aggravated by whatever they are going to do in such community which is going to affect my happiness.
