Trailers and games that are very different from each other

Aliens: Colonial Marines is a great example. The trailers and demos showed off impressive AI and action-packed sequences, but the final release was pretty underwhelming. It was nowhere near the level of quality people expected.

You are right! The 2011 trailer of Aliens: Colonial Marines was meant to introduce the fans to an intense cinematic action packed game. However, we got a game that was with bugs, was poorly optimized, had stupid AI and graphics that were outdated even at the time of release.

I remembered because I was looking forward to that game back then but was heavily disappointed with its release.

The 2017 Starwars Battlefront 11 trailer emphasized space battles, and a great single-player experience. But instead we got microtransactions, loot boxes, and a very shallow story.
