Have you ever run out of critical supplies with no recourse in a game?

Have you ever found yourself in a situation in a game where you literally could not progress because you were missing a critical supply?

I don't remember that ever happening to me because I usually hoard every item in-game just so I don't run into this kind of issue. I normally have loads of supplies stashed away somewhere in-game just for such situations.

This has happened to me a few times in games and when it does happen, it is very frustrating to deal with. The many times I have had this happen to me, I have ended up in some cases having to start the game again to rectify the mistake I made so I could progress further.

Yes, totally. I remember running out of ammo during a boss fight once. Had to start over completely!

Yes, in Fallout: New Vegas the time was during my first play through, i was stuck in the middle of the mojave desert with no ammo, water or food. There was no way to proceed ahead without these valuable items, so I had to reload.

This happened to me in The Long Dark. I was on day 50, and realized I had no medical supplies and had a severely injured character. but I was unable to scavenge or craft anything to help myself.

In Darkest Dungeon, I got all my team members dead due to lack of food and medicine while on an exploration trip. The stress mechanic made it even worse because the heroes’ conditions would worsen, which meant I could not survive it.
