StaceyPowers
Does anybody else get super stressed if they have to play a long section in a game with no manual saves?
Shortie
I am so glad I am not the only person who feels like this! I always get stressed when I haven't got the option of manual saves in a game. I guess with me playing video games back when manual saves were the only option, it has become a habit now for me to want to manually save and when I can't it stresses me out. JennyorAlice
I would be happier than a pig in slop if I could save my games manually. I hate having to wait for the game to save on it's own.
Kennysplash
There should not be a fuss about manual saving, as long as it saves automatically. If I played a game and I discovered that I have to start again that would probably be the last time I would open it.
JennyorAlice
Well, I think manually saving a game would come in handy when you've reached a really hard level or reached a really hard spot in the game. Because then you can save at that point instead of having to go back to the spot where the game automatically saved for you. There were some games that I didn't feel like they automatically saved often enough and it irritated me.
Scorpion
Yes.. I get anxious during long sections without manual saves. It’s nerve-wracking knowing I could lose progress at any moment.
GameOn
Yes! Manual saving makes me feel I'm in control. When I don’t save for long periods, I get stressed up thinking that I might lose my progress. Even when an entire segment was recorded perfectly, I would replay it because of a mistake.
killamch89
Yep. Because anything can happen like the light going away and you'll lose all your current progress.
Button
This is why I hate games that have few autosave points. This creates much tension as I work through the process with the understanding that a small wrong turn will set back the process significantly. Lens
Coming from the old school, I have always been used to little or no saving at all. But for modern games not offering the manual save feature, it can definitely cause stress.
