StaceyPowers
I learned the other week there have been like 4-5 remakes of Myst. Has anyone played any of them? How do they compare to the original and each other?
Scorpion
I've played a few remakes of Myst. Each brings unique visuals and mechanics, but the original's charm remains unmatched for me.
GameOn
I played the 2020 version and found them to follow the first part. It has advanced visuals and very easy to navigate controls which actually improved the overall experience. A perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the game for all the newcomers. killamch89
I’ve dabbled with a few of the remakes, and they each have their pros and cons. For me, the 2000 'Myst: Masterpiece Edition' keeps the classic charm while improving the visuals a bit. The more recent ones, like the VR version or 'realMyst,' are cool if you want a more interactive or modern experience.
Button
I have played ‘RealMyst’ of 2000 and both the remakes of 2020. The latter actually has a graphical update and enhanced puzzles. But some charm is actually lost in translation.
Lens
Every version presents improvements in the gaming experience, graphics. It’s the same formula, but simplified and enhanced controls. The improved graphics make it more appealing and playable for the audience.
