Kennysplash
If I were to choose a movie based on true events, it would be Hacksaw Ridge. To think that a soldier that carried no arms was able to make such impact in the war was unbelievable. He chose to be a medic in the brutal frontline. I can never forget his quote: “When everyone is bent on taking lives, I want to be saving it.” His name, Desmond Doss lives on in the memory of Americans. What movie based on true events is your favorite?
killamch89
I'd say the Pianist. He's stuck in the middle of war and lost contact with his family and he basically hid in the ruins of Warsaw to survive and reunite with them. Mind you, this Wladyslaw was only a pianist, not a soldier per say.
Lens
Hacksaw Ridge is just an amazing choice for me. Desmond Doss's story is truly inspiring, and it's good that Andrew Garfield did a wonderful job bringing it to life on screen.
