Do you think Pep has influenced football?

Recommended Posts

If there is anything, it is the fact that the ongoing Euros have not really inspired me in a way that I would expect as we've seen players now not exercising the gifts of dribbling as it used to be in the past and that is the style that Pep Guardiola brought with him into football. Do you find this a good sign or a bad one?

He has influenced football a lot over the past 15+ years. Inverted fullbacks weren't a thing until Pep started doing it. Lots of teams now require GKs who are good with the ball at their feet to play out from the back. Whereas a lot of teams weren't doing that before Pep got to the Premier League.

I’m very sure that you’ll agree with me that Pep's influence on football is undeniable. This is because a lay emphasis on possession-based football and positional play, which has changed the way a lot of teams approach their games.

The ball playing goalkeepers are now a thing with most top teams now wishing to have one. It is all because Pep made his team play in that style. Truly, he has influenced a lot in the game.
