Shortie Posted July 18 Share Posted July 18 One of the most important lessons I learned from a relationship I was in was to never trust someone too soon in a relationship. I did just that and ended up suffering for 11 years in a mentally abusive relationship. My motto when it comes to relationships is, 'Trust is earned, not given.' A person has to prove to me why I should trust them; I'm not going to trust someone automatically when it comes to dating.
